    Hi MissAmy;

    My dr said whenever we are ready but best to wait until the first period happens.

    It was also good to make sure you have a proper period to make sure there is a nice fluffy uterine lining there for the baby to snuggle in to.

    They normally ask you to wait a full cycle or 2-3 after having a d&c done because the lining is scraped so thinly..though..I know you didnt have one of those, thought it might be of interest to you..

    We "tried" straight after the m/c and all it did was cause me hell..I don't think I actually ovulated that month even though I thought I did..looking back my temps were all over the place, and emotionally I was certain i was pg and had to be pg you know?

    I went nuts buying a heap of tests, not online as I didnt knwo you could but cheapies online at that point..and I was forever checking out my cervix position in hope it would tell me I was utd..

    If you did wait, then good for you! No stress this time around! It really is horrendus emotionally as all you want to do is "replace" what you lost.

    My dr used the term "debris" as well..I was cranky because she had a student in the room and was being completely insensitive, and said in a verrrry sarcastic term, "Debris?? What, did I have a car crash in my uterus??" what is it with them using negative terms!!!! Argh just call it something else!

    Hope you're well and hope you can have a sticky bundle very soon xx

    We were told we could try right away after a U/S because I didnt need a D&C. We did & it was 5 months before I fell pregnant again

    Hey hun,

    I am so sorry for your loss.

    After my first MC the Dr told me to wait 2-3 cycles so my body could get back on track and to give myself some time to grieve the loss of my first little bean.

    The Drs told me to do the same after my second MC (different Dr too BTW) but I just told DH that I was sick to death of following the advice from all these "professionals" who had never experienced a loss of any kind that are pregnancy related. By this stage we were also up to getting some testing done having also lost a baby in between MC.

    We didn't wait one cycle and just went with the flow and are still carrying that pregnancy now.

    I guess only YOU can be the judge of what is best for you, your DP and your body. If you truely feel fine to start TTC again and I mean really fine with the loss emotionally as well then just do what your heart tells you to.

    FWIW - I questioned my Ob after our second MC (he rang me which was nice) I asked him about why they say 2-3 months and his reply was most women just want to put back what has been lost to them rather than taking time to go through the grieving process.

    I can see the logic in that.

    Love and hugs

    Nae - can I ask you, when you did TTC straight away without waiting, how many cycles did it take you to conceive again?
