My DD2 is 17mths, since about 12mths we've been letting her sit on the toilet after sleeps or whenever she requests (loves doing what big sis does) anyway she loves sitting on the toilet and there have been a few times after sleeps she has wee'd on the toilet which is all just timing coincidence.

This last week she has been telling me when she does wee or poo. She only has a few words and 1 of them is wee. Currently I have been checking her nappy when she says she has done wee and she is correct the nappy is very warm and I ask if she wants to go to the toilet which generally she then races to the toilet. We sit for a while then when she wants to she gets off.

I know she is very young to be toilet trained. Just want opinions should I do anything else or just do what I am doing which is all very relaxed and if I'm lucky something might click.

While I have no experience with toilet training I think it is great that you have such great communication about it with your DD. It seems like she is quite relaxed about it and it will probably just click for her.

In my experience (which is only one kid and a half ) nope just keep doing what you're doing. Eventually it will click for her and she'll be able to tell you before she wees.
My little guy has been doing this for a few months with poos and wees and can now wee on command if we sit him on the loo, but he still can't identify the need to go. DD was the same until one day all of a sudden she just 'got' it.
