Oh no MazHope it's not sitting in the front yard ATM!
FJ that's good of her to offer a discount. I agree it's frustrating that the product is not as described even as a second.
Ages ago my spool holder stoppy thingy (sorry can't think of a better description) broke and the spool holders fell through into the machine. I've been using my mums old elna but am discovering it's limitations. I went off this arvy on a bit of an expedition to try and get some spare parts so I can use my machine again. My lovely sewing shop ladies don't sell Janome, so off I went to Spotters. They don't sell Janome by the look of it either but I didn't know for sure because there was no one selling in machines as per usualI ended up at Melb Sewing Centre at the shopping centre and am verrrrry tempted to trade in my machine because I can get a $200 trade in on a machine that includes a walking foot (worth $79 to buy sep) and does a few other tricks that mine doesn't...only problem is I have to fine about $300 still.
I'm kind of keen because I only paid $189 for mine about 13 years ago because I bought it and left it in the shop while I went off doing some other things and a different girl sold it to someone else and because it was a run out model they couldn't get another one, so I got a different machine that was worth $300 or so (was a while ago so details are fuzzy...) so I can get more trade in than what I paid for the thing. It's just not so good timing ATM $$$ wise. *sigh* why do I always find the good deals when I can't afford to buy them.
I might try and layby it if I can.
