Robbing our children. Well, a birdie reckons that the $80bn cut is a ploy to motivate states to demand higher GST revenues, which makes sense. Wonder if the extra will end up back where it belongs, though.. :/
It's all just so much bastardry.
Almost everywhere round here bulk bills. Guess I'll have to raid the change jar next time I absolutely believe in the importance of universal health care and this is just driving the wedge in further. Look at the shocking state of health in the US! And I've resigned myself to having to pay full, upfront university fees by the time my kids are that age (or they won't be able to go because we don't have the income). (It's all right for those politicians who got a 'free ride' when the government paid the lot!)
