Thank you everyone for the warm welcome! yes what a journey we have had this year and really looking forward to Christmas when Abby is one!
I'm not sure why she came so early, I just started dialating (without contractions) and was in hospital for two weeks on bed rest and then started to get an infection so the they did a ceaser. The ob said "just one of those thing!!" Mind you, this is "one of those things" you always thought happened to someone else.
Kyla, yes it is really a struggle whith other children and going to hospital. I could only make it every second day as well until they moved her to Gosford (which is about 15mins from home) but whatever you do, don't feel guilty as your other bubby needs you as well!!! I was so excited when Abby graduated up to Gosford it all then went really quickly.
Abby was 830gm born and ventilated for almost 2 1/2 months, cpap then oxygen. She had an operation at Westmead to close her duct in her chest and then it was smooth sailing from then!!! We were lucky enough not to have her come home on any oxygen which made our jobs a lot easier.
She is just beautiful. Her physio is extraordinarily happy with her at this stage there is no signs of any CP and developmentally she is on track and above for her corrected age. Which is really reassuring .
I really love the set out of this forum and am looking forward to making some new friends! You will have to bear with me while i get used to using this. Where do i check for new messages once this thread runs out? Do you all jump in on new threads etc?
