Sally what a deal you are all going through at the moment.its a long and boring 10weeks plus and bub stays put for several more months if possible.
Where I work the Ob has put in a suture as late as 27weeks. I have seen a few at 26weeks also. Always has been with first bubbas but when a scan has shown the cervix was very short (around 1cm for memory). If there was any uterine activity or irritability it wouldn't happen that late as as soon as trauma occurs to the cervix like a suture its likely to open anyway and speed up the birth not prolong the pregnancy.
Sal is in the best place sounds like she is been well looked after with bedrest and drug management (steroids) and lots of prayers on BB for your little man to stay put.
