I stopped using the pram for DS at about 2. Definitely by 2 and a half.
He liked to walk and I was happy to let him.
It gets hard when they are tired though, so I guess it depends on the nature and lengths of the trips your be making where therd be no other adult to carry your toddler if he got tired.
