Minimax - the novelty factor is what I am hoping for too.... but as always the novelty eventually wears off and I am not sure that Jett will be old enough to cope.

Miss H - From what you are saying I am better off with the pram with the doubles capabilities (Baby Jogger City Select). I don't want or need two prams when this one can convert from single to double and back again within minutes. You have clarified this issue for me more than you realise! Thankyou!

Spring - Jett had a phase where he refused the pram too, and we either had to carry him or just let him walk. He is now happy to go in a stroller again. But like I mentioned, he will only be 21 months when this bub is born, so not quite 2. And then adding on 6 months for slinging the new bub he still only be 2 1/4 years old. I'm not sure I can convince him to ride a skateboard for any length of time at that age. I just don't think he finds it tat much fun IYKWIM.

Sequoia - I have never used the pram for grocery shopping, just general out and about/shopping centre trips. And lots of walking around our area which is hilly and has various terrain from smooth flat paths to steep dirt tracks! Which is why this is kind of a big decision for me and I need to figure out if I can get away with the single only Bugaboo, or the single/double Baby Jogger.

Pandora - you are right. We are quite happy to let Jett walk most of the time, but sometimes the timeframe is too long, or it coincides with nap time, or we are in a hurry and he just can't keep up - especially while having to thoroughly examine every stick/stone/leaf on the path!!!

I think, after reading all your posts, that it has become clear to me that the variety of uses and times we currently use the pram for is going to call for the doubles pram. At least it allows us to set it up as a single pram for those times when Jett is going to walk it himself, or I am going to sling the baby and he can ride in the pram. Then on the longer outings we can have it set up for two and there is somewhere for them both to go.

Thankyou so much to everyone who posted, you have all helped clarify this dilemma for me!!
