I dont know that this will help, but I choose not to get ds a walker as it wasnt recommended by our physiotherapist and i believe most arnt as they dont promote healthy walking but can in fact promote children to walk on their tip toes and lead them to having problems learning to walk...
Yes I agree, they can be quite dangerous with falls, squashed fingers, etc too, but apart from that, babies need to be allowed to walk in their own time, once their legs are developed enough as well as the muscles, ligaments, balance, etc, etc.
