We hired a capsule but to be honest, (if there is a) next time, we'll just go straight to car seat. DD grew out of the capsule too quickly so for us it was a waste of cash!

DS we went straight to car seat with newborn insert, DD we bought a capsule. The only difference I found was as you said, being able to keep them asleep in the capsule while ducking in and out of places. But if we have a 3rd we'll be going straight to car seat with insert as we sold our capsule and I can't see a huge point buying another one.

DD1 went straight into a carseat, she was 2.1kg when we took her home and we had to take the shoulder straps off as they were too big for her

DD2 we have hired a capsule and it has been a godsend already! She has stayed asleep in it and we have been able to pop in and out of the car, and not disturb her at all, soooo worth it

If you want one of the cheapest places to hire from in Adelaide let me know

My first three children went straight into a car seat, my last baby whom is still only 6 weeks old we bought a capsule that goes straight into our strider plus pram!!! It is the best thing i have ever ever bought!!! I am in and out of the car atleast twice a day (for school runs) and it is awesome. So honestly I would highly reccomend a capsule IF you think you are going to be in and out of the car. I LOVE MY CAPSULE!!!!!!!!!!!

We went straight into a carseat for both of the kids - just seemed like a waste of money to buy one for the short term (although I could have been swayed if it was one that would attach into a pram).

My friend bought the whole clip is system for her pram but her DS (born 35 weeks gestaion and weighing 2.6kg) was too big for it at 2 months. It was too awkward to carry him in it.

I decided to go straight to car seat and I think the seat is fantastic. Brought DD home from hospital at 2.4kg and not an issue

We have a capsule, and did for DS as well. For me it is about practicality more than anything, as I will be able to strap bubs in the capsule before we actualley leave the house and it is one less thing to struggle with while I am fighting the other 2 into there car seats. I also have school run to do twice a day and it seems more logical to me be able to life bubs straight in and out, especially if they are sleeping. I have an attachment for my P&T and can just clip the capsule onto that.

I think I would like a capsule this time round. For the whole in & out of the car & lots of little ones to buckle in. It would be handy to be able to put the baby down safely while I buckle in the others. But we'll see how big the next car is.

Moo went straight into a car seat but I think when we have another we'll use a capsule. As others have said, it will be easier to just be able to take the capsule in and out without disturbing bubs.
