As long as they aren't in there for longer than about 30 mins at a time it's ok - but OMG did DS and DD have fun in them! I loved the JJ, it's a crackup to watch their little legs bouncing away.

My kids loved them! We had ours in our Kitchen Doorway, so I could cook dinner and they weren't upset. DD loved it more than DS, but they both still had a ball in it, and like others have said no longer than 30 mins!
My kids have loved them too. I wouldn't put them in for longer than 20 minutes at a time though but they loved the time they were in it for.
Got one for DS1 and he didnt really like it, we got an exersaucer and he loved that!! DS2 has only been in exersaucer and loves it.
But as others have said short periods only.
short periods of 20-30 mins are fine and another thing is to make sure bubs can put feet flat on the floor. I was concerned about hip/spine issues and asked a physio what she suggested. I actually tested DD's in the doorway by hanging off the bracket myself prior to putting her in it. There is also a pigstail hook mount that can be put directly into a beam if you're worried doorway isn't strong enough.
HTH!
