No, we are not using it for night time sleeping. We may use it if we are away from home, but otherwise we either use our Miyo baby hammock during the day or we co-sleep at night.

The baby hammock took some getting used to, mainly to get my head around the concept, even as an experienced mother, but we are very happy with it. It was not expensive at all and Boo sleeps very, very well in it during the day, especially if he's windy and unsettled - if nothing else, it buys me time to have a shower, sort some laundry and to brush my teeth!

How long to go before your baby arrives? You might be able to find a bassinet mattress protector at a baby store? We have one that uses elastic to secure it under the mattress - it is not flash but it works! I'll have a look around and see what I can find online.
