We put ours in a week before MJ was born and then took it out again (just so we knew that it ftted properly), i didnt see the point of driving around with it in the car... Although i was glad that we did fit it early as i needed to get an extention.
I was in hosp 6 days (emerg c/s) so it was refitted before coming to pick us up.
TBH it is the last thing that you really need to do, its not like you need it for the trip to the hopsital, so dont stress too much about it
hi, I've got 3 1/2 weeks to go and i haven't got ours in yet.i thought the seat will be used for both cars mine and my hubby's and we always swap cars. when im in hospital my dh will put it in for when we come home. We both have put different carseats in before for my nephew and nieces so im just going to get dh to do it. He will make sure its done properly its going to have his child it it so he'll make sure its done correctly.
We had ours booked into be installed at 39 weeks (they were fully booked!).
Unfortunately DD had big ideas of arriving early at 38 weeks! LOL! so DH had to run around like a madman trying to convince them that bubs HAD arrived and we needed to have the seat put in...in the end he refused to leave the office and someone took pity on him and helped out! LOL!
