Will i need a double pram for 18 month old and new born???

Mine are 18 months apart , I got the Phil and teds with second seat ATM I use the combo where toddler is up top and baby lying flat underneath so it's the same size as a single pram you can get the pram and toddler seat on sale sites and gumtree for <$200 it also depends on the baby too dd is very clingy baby so until she is a bit older I tend to carry her in a carrier or wrap and just have Ds in an umbrella stroller

This is certainly a hard question. I used a single plus carrier for children 1 and 2 (21 months apart). But I bought a double planning for child 2 and 3 to go in it (18 months apart). Turns out Child 2 wouldn't sit in a stroller if Child 1 was walking, so it barely gets any use! But it has been handy on some occasions.

I paid $400 for my City Mini Double 2nd hand and if I had my time again I wouldn't have got one or would have bought one cheaper than that.

I used my P &T's up until less than a year ago and my kids are now 6 and nearly 5 (17 mths apart) so I am a definite yes. We just found it so much easier if we went anywhere like the zoo etc and even one wanted to walk inevitably at some point both would be tired and want to be in it. We paid about $600 for the sport double kit and worth every cent for us. Really depends on your kids too I have a friend whose DD wouldn't stay in the pram at all but we loved it and I also used it for kinder pick ups and exercising.

My older two are 2y 4m apart and I used a double. Particularly if you want to walk for exercise - or sanity - a double is invaluable.

I would have gone completely mental without a double. I have a side by side and love it.

Even just for safety it's important - there are times you need to know both kids are strapped in safely, like on public transport or in bug shopping centres.
