not sure it'd make much difference to the leg room ZF. Like mbear said they're quite bulky and sit up quite high, so I'm thinking your DD's legs will stick out over the edge as much as they already do.
The hipods are a bit slimmer I think??? (we have the MR too).

Thanks everyone, i have heard nothing but glowing reports about the Maxi Rider so am biting the bullet and going to buy it today.

Have also decided that once we decide to turn DD2 around we are not going to bother turning her seat around, i am just going to go and buy her one too and then sell our turn-a-tot.
Keep your the guy is working today to fit it, not sure i can wait until next week...

I don't know how true this is........but I went to buy DS1 a MR. After discovering that we didn't really need it right away (DS2 is in a capsule) the saleswoman at Baby Bunting suggested we hold off until we moved DS2 into the Meridian, as DS1 would be safer in the convertible seat until he was as close to 18kg as possible. She lost a sale that day, so I don't know why she would make it up . (Though I have since bought one and put it away for when we need it, I'm guessing DS1 will be about 15-16kg). Hey, I know the MR is safe from 8kg (although I personally can't imagine putting an 8kg bub in one), I guess it depends at what weight you turn your DD.

None of my business what you do , just thought I'd put it out there

Thanks hun... with DD1 the seat we have her in now the straps are level with her shoulders and thats the highest point so we have no choice really but i will see how safe n comfy it looks before i go getting one for DD2.. it does say from 6mths but i will ask the guy fitting them and see what he thinks aswell.
