For an opk to be positive, the test line needs to be as dark or darker than the control. Once you see this you will probably O within 24-36 hours.
Personally, i find that my opk's get progresivly darker as i approach O, then afterwards it's sooooo faint.
If your cycle is usually 28days and you are on cd12 then you are right in thinking that you will possibly O in the next couple of days.
Okp's can be a PITA sometimes, you need to do them everyday (i sometimes do twice a day) to ensure you dont miss the surge.
