JANIE _ I can't donate any EBM for baby Daniel, but I'm happy to donate some fat???
This morning I woke at 7am & remembered sitting on the edge of my hospital bed exactly 3 years previously - to the minute & leaning right over Curly's little cot with my ear against her face to listen to her breathing as she had been sleeping for 7 continunous hours at that stage! Her first night she slept from midnight til 8am. Sorry, sorry, sorry to all the sleepless mummies, but I remember sitting on the edge of my bed feeling very undecided on if I wake her or let her continue sleeping.

Michelle - so glad everything is ok and totally understand how you're feeling... I'm feeling a bit the same and I only have one of them to worry about (and no work)... we had a very bad day/night with DS yesterday and it really does make you question your parenting abilities... what if I'm doing it all wrong.. blah blah... so frustrating and confusing. Hope you get some more advice from the books.. let me know if you do.. I'm a a loss right now!!

Janie - You're incredible and I'm so proud of little Daniel!

Jayne - You crack me up.. I've missed you in here!! What a beautiful way to wake up this morning.. such a precious memory that you'll aways have!!

Lisa - OMG hun.. look at your ticker now!! Not long to go!! Any news on bubs position?? Hope he/she has turned again!

Hope everyone else is well. I just got a lovely bunch of flowers delivered to my door.. such a surprise, I can't remember the last time that happened!!! They were from my friend who just came and stayed with us.. to say thank you for having them over and taking them around... so lovely. Definately helped lift my spirits a bit. I locked myself out of the damn house AGAIN today... can't believe it. I'm so frustrated adn annoyed with myself.. what's wrong with me atm. Anyway I'm sick of whinging so might just try not to post for a bit and get myself together.. will keep reading but don't want to keep complaining and whinging.. there's too much good news for everyone to celebrate. Am actually going out tonight with some girls I met at playgroup, so might have a few drinks, I think I need them - LOL.

Just wanted to drop in and tell you that one of the school mums approached me for a chat this afternoon and asked me to her place for a coffee one day

Just when I'd given up trying to make an effort, someone wants to be my friend

Probably not a big deal to most of you but this sort of thing doesn't happen to me very often at all. I don't do well in social situations

BBL for a proper post but just wanted to share the brightest part of my day today.

PS Michelle - my big boy is driving me BONKERS this week too. It just dawned on me yesterday that perhaps he is missing his sister and has no one to play with

KELLY _ Maybe you should get one of those little dummy clip thingies & attach your keys to yourself??? hehehee, I"m sorry, it's not funny, but it sooooooo is! Sorry Luke was a handful the other day - they go in stages. As sweet as Curly is, I definitely have my moments with her, but I'm happy to say my moments with Jess are now few & far betweeen, so trust me when I tell you there is light at the end of the tunnel!

WILLOW _ That's awesome that you're making a mummy/school friend. I made a spectacular school friend last year & now our kids are in different classes, but we are still seeing each other a lot & it's so much fun. We are all going to Dora Concert in May & staying overnight in the city together. I really hope you have a wonderful afternoon with your new friend!!! I'm very happy for you. I didn't know you weren't making school friends though? I don't do well in clickey click groups & we definitely have a few of them, so I don't have heaps of school friends either.

It's sooooooooooo freaking hot here today, I am loving the aircon! I'm so scared to get my power bill though.

Jayne - Oh yeah, we have clicks I was trying to make an effort to talk to the mums, especially the ones I knew from preschool last year but was just getting nothing so just gave up. They didn't talk to me at preschool either so I don't know why I thought it would change. But preschool was a bit different cause we just dropped off and then left. At school we hang around for quite a while and most of the mums huddle in little groups and chat. I actually know one of the mums from way back when we had antenatal group for V. We had a few bbq's and things together before we sort of lost contact but even she didn't seem interested. She actually approached me last week but about 2 mins into the conversation I worked out why - she's started working as a party planner and wanted me to have a party that's the only reason she was talking to me. And I don't know her well enough to say no so guess who's having a linen party on 21st March (Sydney girls, it's a Sunday and you're all invited if you're interested in linen They actually have some really nice stuff for the kids, I must say)

Anyway, this mum seems nice and our girls are in the same class so we'll see what comes of it. Would be nice to have someone to chat to.

A thought just occurred to me - I went to check on D last night before I went to bed and he totally freaked me out because he was laying all weird in the cot, face down (he is still wrapped). So I tried to gently move him onto his back but he woke up so I fed him and he went back to sleep. That was about 10.30pm. He didn't wake until just before 5am....that's like seriously close to sleeping through huh??!! Wooooooot!!!

Am home with just the boys today, DH working and my brother came to pick DD up so she could go to my niece's bday party. I'm baby sitting a friends 18mo this afternoon/tonight so I'll have 4 tonight

Best be off, am sure you are all out having a life being the weekend, am going to go and do a blitz on my bedroom, clean sheets etc etc. Must admit, although I'd much rather have D in with us still, he is sleeping so much better in his own room and it is kind of nice for DH and I to have our own space again. I'm thinking of redecorating actually...

WILLOW _ You crack me up! Would love to come to your Linen party if I lived in Sydney. Is it that Lorraine Lea stuff? I was almost suckered in to one of those as well, but I ended up cancelling as my host annoyed the heck out of me. I also made one of those 'friends' last year, when I complimented on a mummy's necklace outside of school one day & guess who was an Emma Page consultant........ I turned down one of those parties as well, even as I walked straight into it!

We have massive clicks at school & TBH I"m a bit peeved at Jessica's Kindy teacher as she broke up Jessica's little click with her little friend, but a few other clicks remained untouched, I"m a bit miffed, but Jessica & her friend still remain very buddy-like so I'm not overly fussed, but if you break up one, you have to break them all - well that's my opinion anyway.

I admit, I'm finding it hard to find my mummy friends in Pre-Primary, but I think a lot of that is due to having 19 kids in her class last year to 26 kids this year, everybody still looks foreign to me.

Oh & YESSSSSSSSSSs that sleep from D was very close to a sleep-through, maybe he likes the dream-feeding??? I know Jessica used to go well on dream-feeding, maybe tonight wake him for a dream-feed & see what happens? Oh & best of luck with 4 kids tonight, I can't say I envy you!

AFM _ Well Curly's party is well & truly over for another year. She had a brilliant time & exceptional cupcakes & fantastic friends to celebrate with. I'm just uploading pics on FB for all who want to see!

Willow How did everything go last night with having 4 little ones?
Well done D for sleeping through too. That if a fantastic effort
I also don't like the idea of the school parent "clicks" that happen. I see it every day at work and it really does suck. I see some mums who try and make an effort and others completely ignore them. I hope the lady who asked you over for a coffee is lovely and becomes a true friend of yours

Jayne OMG I agree with Willow on the 18kgs. You look amazing in Claudia's birthday pics
I can't believe how grown up she looks now.

Not a lot happening here. Sage is pestering the life outta me cos he wants to go to the little boy's birthday party next door "RIGHT NOW" lol but it doesn't start for about half an hour lol. Doesn't make it easy when he can see the balloons hanging on the fence
Yesterday was rather boring too as DH worked and I couldn't be bothered doing anything as I was sooooooooooooooooo tired as a little boy decided not to sleep from 2am until 5:30am Last night was better thank goodness.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

WILLOW _ I must hide all my fat well, but I can honestly tell you that I have another 18kg's to go! Seriously! I want a fabulous photo shoot with my family - just like you had taken, but there is no way my fat backside is being hung up on my living room wall! LOL Yes, tell me, how did you go with 4 kidlets last night? Or did you sneak out to the pub & haven't made it home yet??

MAKO _ Well that's just teasing the poor child, hanging balloons on the fence!!! What is with the 3.5 hour stopover during sleeping time??? No wonder you're exhausted! Hope the party was great!

AFM _ Very quiet Sunday here after a hectic Saturday with Claudia's party yesterday. Might head down to the beach later this afternoon for an icecream & a paddle as it's sooooooooo freaking hot again! I can't believe how thankful I am for aircon - this heat has been relentless. My kids are having a swim with Alan's mum at the beach atm & she is dropping them home in the next half hour. I have been very productive & cleaned the bathrooms & folded up all my washing & I even nipped out for some Subway for lunch & ate it watching the ice skating. Now WILLOW how much of a life do I have??

    **** JANIE UPDATE ****

Just a quick one from me to boast a little... I went to see Janie and meet her gorgeous but very little new man, Daniel!!! Janie is absolutely amazing, she looks FANTASTIC and is coping with it all so well.. it's inspirational!! And little Daniel is just gorgeous... he's so tiny and it's so amazing! He's doing really well though. I think her DH was saying that he'll be in there for quite a while still but he is doing really well. Janie gave him his first b/f this morning and he sucked quite well, she was thrilled. She's still expressing as much as possilbe (milk is not quite in yet) and getting deliveries of her amazing friend's breast milk. They're feeding him 12 feeds a day and he seems to be responding to it really well. Although it's not what she wanted, she's really happy with the c/s too and is moving around with hardly any pain at all, so she's pretty happy about that. She's being discharged from hospital tomorrow so it will mean lots of travelling back to see Daniel from here on in. Although she'll be devistated about leaving Daniel, she is really looking forward to going home and seeing Nicholas again and spending some time with him too.. so it's mixed emotions, understandably!

Hmmm... I'm sure there was more I was going to update you with but it's been a crazy weekend for me and I can't remember the rest!!! Sorry!

KEL _ Thanks so much darl for the update, I wondered how long until you went & visited. Did you happen to take any piccies? I'm almost dying over here to lay eyes on the little wee man??? I'm so glad to hear Janie is doing super, but TBH I didn't expect anything less from the super-woman & I'm sure Nicholas is going to be thrilled to have Mummy home from tomorrow.

How has your day been today Kel? You're mum gets there tomorrow doesn't she???

I feel like I'm neglecting this thread ATM so a big sorry from me. Looking after the boys and DH after his fall is full on but we are getting there.

I'm just feeling so loved up with the boys ATM fair enough O has his moments and B is feeding around the clock but I'm really feeling in a good place. Ben is turning into such a cheery little bloke. I took him for his first shower with me tonight and he looooooved it!!! Big smiles and the start if a giggle! O is just a champ, he makes me smile and laugh all the time. I'm so proud that he has wonderful manners and is not only my son but my friend. It just warms my heart. I know some of us are having a tough time so I hope you don't mind me sharing.

Jayne: your girls are so gorgeous you must be a very proud mumma. happy Birthday to curly.

Kelly: thanks for the update hun. I'm so happy to hear they are doing well.

Thanks for updating us Kelly, I am so happy to hear about how well she is doing. What a champ! it must be so hard leaving the hosp without her gorgeous little man, but it sounds like she is doing so so well. I hope he is able to go home asap. I would also love some pics! I hope you enjoy your Mum's stay. I meant to respond to your post about your friends leaving - I also cry when people leave after a visit here, but then I am ok again so I am sure you will be fine when your mum leaves after maybe a little cry. It must have been hard having your pregnant friend staying with you but I am sure you will be joining her soon!

Jayne - glad to hear your gorgeous girl had a lovely third birthday. Love the pics. And I have to agree with the others - I can't believe that you have 18kgs to lose!

Bek - thank you so much for your lovely comments about DS and my stupid mummy guilt. You are right - he will learn things from his big sis that are also very important lessons to learn. I just wish he would give me some smiles to reassure me that he is happy and developing normally!

Michelle - so so glad to hear that all went well with the scan. I am sure you are doing an excellent job as mummy to your little ones, but I understand the doubts as I feel them too! I think you are wonderful to cope with such young kids, work and being pg again. It can't be easy.

Jo - how are you doing hun? Haven't heard much from you lately.

Spring - it is lovely to hear you so in love with your gorgeous little boys. I must say, B has a pretty gorgeous infectious smile - I love the pic you have on FB of a nice big smile.

We are still not doing so well on the sleep front over here. DD slept through last night but DS was up and down all night! We have been at a three year old's party today so DD has had heaps of sugar but is also exhausted so we will see what tonight brings! I think DS must be having his 6 week growth spurt as he just keeps feeding and he is sucking me dry! I don't feel like I have any milk when he is ready for his next feed and the lack of sleep isn't helping.

Sorry guys.. didn't take my camera so no pics!! Hopefully Janie will have some pics up on FB soon... although she's going to be a busy mummy from here on in I think!! I still can't believe how precious little Daniel is and yeah, she's missing N like crazy! He's had a bit of a cold so hasn't even been in to see her over the last couple of days, so it's been really hard for her.

Jayne - thanks for asking about me.. I'm feeling a lot better again today. Had a big night out with some girls I met at a playgroup over here and it was just amazing to be out on the town!! Didn't get home until 2.30am and had a few drinks, which is VERY rare for me.. I'm not really a big drinker... but my god I needed a boozy night out - LOL. I think it really helped release some tention. Plus.. it's O time and I'm feeling a little better about everything... so hopefully we manage to catch this damn egg before DH goes away on Tuesday morning... still not happy he's going but hope we can sneak a BFP in a couple of weeks. Oh and yeah.. Mum is arriving tomorrow avo... I can't wait... seriously excited. We're heading off to the zoo in the morning, then out to the airport.. going to be fantastic!!! Hope you've recovered from Claudia's party, sounds and looks like it was a great day!! You're girls are so adorable!!

Bun - Thanks so much.. nice to hear I'm not totally crazy - LOL.

Kelly Thanks for giving us a *Janie Update* I'm so happy they are all doing so well and I can only imagine the mixed emotions today is going to bring for her

Good on you for having a night out on the town lol. I'm not a big drinker either. Michelle told me the other night during a FB chat session that I'm a Cadbury's girl (a glass and a half and I'm on the floor) hahaha.
I hope you enjoy your time with your mum. How long is she visiting for? How's Luke going?
Good luck with catching that egg too

Spring Oh hunny you sound sooooooo happy and its wonderful to hear about all the things that are making you feel that way. I'm so happy for you
How is DH going with his back?

Bun yesterday must have been the day for 3 year old birthday parties lol. DS also went to our neighbours little boy's party. He had a great time. I actually left him there for an hour while I came in and caught up on a few things around the house. We often let the kids go and play while either of us mums catch up on something in the house. The neighbours can be a bit full on at times but its nice that the kids can have someone to play with sometimes too.
I hope you manage to get some sleep soon too

Jo Like Bun said I hope you are doing ok. You have been a bit quiet lately

Michelle I hope you enjoyed your weekend away. How are the 2 little ones doing?

I'd better get off here as I have a busy morning. Have a couple of appointments 1st up and then we are catching up with a few friends around lunch time.
Oh and I have to take Sage back to the Physio next week to have his feet checked again. He turns his right foot in a lot when he runs or occasionally walks lol. I'm a bit concerned about it again. I'm not too sure what we can do to help him correct it now he's a bit older. I think its more of a habit more than anything now but we still need to have him checked.

    Hi to everyone.

    hey ladies,

Kel - thats great that Janie is doing soooo well, please send her my love. How exciting that your mum is coming, that will be great for you!

AFM - quick one - DD is sick! Im thinking she has another ear infection she was up half the night telling me she had spiders in her ear! So no child care for her today, we are off to drs this morning to get her checked out.

Me- lots of aches and pains, so im hoping things are moving along nicely - and thanks Bek for that EPO info. Im off for a scan and OB appt on wednesday.

Thinking of you all, just very very tired atm for personals,

LISA _ Oh chick, you are so, so, so close now! I can't believe it! How exciting, I can't wait to hear bubby has arrived. I really hope that Miss A isn't sick, let us know how you go with the Dr appointment. What a bugger that she is unwell.

KEL _ I know exactly what you mean, sometimes you just need to let your hair down! I was a boozy girl all over the Christmas holidays & I'm NEVER a drinker, always the driver, but it felt good to do something I wouldn't normally do. Explains why I never lost any weight over the festive season, but still I had fun! Glad your mum is going to be over, do you live at the zoo these days? I'm sure you tell me every second day you're off to the zoo! LOL

MICHELLE _ Where are you chicky?

WILLOW _ Glad the girl went off to school today & I must thank you for jinxing me. Claudia has a runny nose now & had 2 blood noses late afternoon yesterday, so thanks for that! LOL

BUN _ Oh no you poor thing, if it's not one it's the other with the sleep! It sounds to me like they have a plan devised!! I hope you get it sorted soon & you start getting some rest over night! xx
