JANIE! Way to go little D! Thats a great gain, what a champ. I cant even imagine how hard this must be for you, you are an amazing woman.
Willow, I dont think I do have Janie on my list (do I!?)
Jayne, ah fake handbags  Listen to you livin it up hehe Nothing like a dinner with a good girlfriend to raise your spirits. Your a brave woman, Ive never left any of my boys overnight yet not even with Dh (not that we have the option too with no family around). Will have to on the BB Gold Coast holiday for 3 whole nights. I think by that stage I will be sitting by the door with my bags packed ready to bolt to the airport for a week before hand
-
Janie That is just wonderful that little D has put on weight. What a little champion you have on your hands. You are doing a wonderful job hun. How are you doing after your C/S? I hope you are healing really well
Jayne WTG hun on having dinner with your friend 3 nights in a week lol.
I hope Claudia has a wonderful time at her grandparents house tomorrow night too. Oh and I have to agree with you on not waking kids up on Christmas morning. Its not like they sleep until 10am or anything :shakehead:
Freya How are your boys now? I hope everyone is feeling so much better. You sure have had a rough time of late.
Megsmum I'll be near the play area with the black and yellow empty stroller no doubt lol with a little blondie running around hopefully playing on the equipment lol. Looking forward to meeting you on Monday.
Willow So you guys are still looking at land?? Thats wonderful and just to think we'll all be able to catch up with each other more often. That'd be great :)
I'm so happy that you've found a friend at the school too. You are such a wonderful person and you deserve to have someone you can talk too, socialise with while waiting to pick DD up
Michelle Where are you?????????? I've been thinking of you often. I hope you had a great time away last weekend and hope Omar is being good to his mummy too
I'm so excited...I'm going out for dinner tonight with some lovely mummies. I can't wait although I'm a little worried about how my boys are going to cope as Sage literally screams every time I leave the house without him. I've told DH he should take him to Maccas and let him have a play and then have some dinner down there too and to take him before I have to leave. Hopefully this will help with the screaming
I hope everyone has a lovely weekend.
-
Thanks guys :). Anna, get one of the other girls to point out who I am on fb and send me a friend request :)
-
Anna, I sent you a friend suggestion. :)
BW

Morning girls!
Janie - Woot!! Go bubba D!! You must be so pleased. I can only imagine how hard this is on you guys. I struggled having D in special care and he was with me most of the time so I cannot imagine what it's like for you  You are all in my thoughts daily. Hang in there
Mako - (just typed your real name...whoops!) possible plan is to buy a block of land now-ish. When the time comes to actually move, we will rent this house out and rent a place up there for at least 12 months in case it doesn't work out, we don't like it etc. Then, once we are settled, we will either (a) Sell our house in Sydney and the block of land and buy a house up there or (b) Sell our house in Sydney and build on the block of land - my least favourite option! DH is keen to build, me....not so much! I'm a stress head and I think it'd just be a painful process.
Just had to share...bit the bullet this morning and went and got fitted for a good sports bra for the gym. I've been wearing a 14DD for aaaages and was pretty confident it was a good fit :shakehead: Oh my word...I ended up with a 10...GG!!!! :o  :o Pretty happy about the 10 part, noooooot so much the GG!!
AND it cost me $90 :o
The brand of the bra is Freya...so guess who I was thinking about while some chick jiggled and shoved my bbs around?!
Went to the gym and while I never wanted to spend that amount of money on a bra, I think it's going to be a good investment - I could actually run on the treadmill!
Anyhoo, enough of my randomness. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
-
Er I didnt get any friends suggestions apart from tupperware?
Willow; I am honoured that you thought of me while a stranger was touching your boobs. Really!
-
Oh god talk about a thread killer lol
Janie - OMgoodness, Daniel is divine! What a doll, well done. Almost made me clucky for another little boy........;)
Do you think it would be selfish of me to save $$$ up and fly overseas for a two week holiday in the next 18mths................without Dh or kids?
-
Freya - Sorry, that was my fault! LOL. Nothin' better to talk about than my boobs!
And ermmmm, NO! I think it would be amazing. I'm a total sook so I don't think I could leave my kids for 2 weeks, but I'd love to! 2 days is about my limit so far
-
After my run of bad luck these past few weeks and the amount of naughtiness theyve displayed 2mths sounds better than 2wks ;)
Ryan said flat out no but I told him if I save the money Im going. I'll save my child care tax rebate that I get back quarterly, by the start of next year I should have about $4000 saved, enough for airfare and some fun! Its MY ftb paying childcare so I figure I can do what I want with the rebate.
-
Hi Ladies!
I had a faint second line today! I am keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't disappear again. I will test again tomorrow and see if it gets a bit darker. It is still 3 days before AF is/was due.
-
That is so exciting Laney!!! Fingers crossed for you hun xoxo
-
Thanks Anna :) we think he's pretty spectacular ourselves LOL! Oh, and I think you should save and go on a holiday for sure!
Willow, you made me laugh so much with the talk of your boobs, THANK YOU! I am seriously short on laughs ATM, I think DH is despairing, so thanks :)
D was weighed last night and has gained 35g, so going well! I think they're checking his SBR again today, hopefully he won't have to go back under lights, and we can take his velcro dots off. I wondered if he looked a little yellow again yesterday, but hopefully it was just the light ;)
Time's up (so soon!!!) must go and express and get organised to go in. DH had to work today!!!!!! So I'm doing it on my own again
-
Janie Daniel sounds like he's doing so well hun. I'm so pleased for you. Bugger about DH having to work today though. I'll keep my :crossfingers: Daniel doesn't need to go back under lights today
Freya How exciting that you're planning a trip away on your own. I have to admit I don't think I could do that either. Not sure I could leave Sage for that long. It broke my heart when DH and I went away for 2 nights without him lol.
Willow OMG on the new bra. A 10 is fantastic  Not sure I'd be happy about the GG though. I know DH would be impressed about that part though
I hope L is feeling better today.
Laney WOOHOO on the 2nd line. I hope it stays that way for you and you have a very sticky bub in your tummy ;)
Kelly I've been meaning to reply to you and I've been a little slack. I'm sorry.
I really do hope you managed to catch that little egg before DH went away. It sound very possible that you could have. Make sure you keep us in the loop of what is happening. I hope you are having a wonderful time with your Mum even with all the awful weather you are having atm. Oh and WOOHOO to Luke on his TTing .
Hi to everyone else. I hope you all had a good weekend.
-
Thanks Mako!! We're having such a wonderful time with Mum here, it's brilliant. But yeah, the weather has been TERRIBLE. I'm still praying for a miracle BFP in the next week or so. Am going to try not to test too early but we'll see. I'm hopeless. As for the TT'ing... it's all taken a turn for the worst.. sooooo frustrating. He was so ready and even did poo on the toilet but now won't have a bar of it.. I was just about to give up and he's started wanting to go again... so confused and so sick of cleaning up wee... LOL.
Freya - I say GO FOR IT!! Sounds like you might need a little break away.
Janie - Fantastic news about Daniel and once again, let me know if I can help you out in any way. I'm even happy to come along for some company if you want... let me know!
Laney - Ohhhhh... sounds good. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Michelle - How are you??? Hope all is going well.
Lisa - Anything happening yet??? Thinking of you!
Hi to everyone I've missed. Hope you're all well.
AFU - Having a great time with Mum here but still can't stop thinking about whether or not we caught that damn egg... I hate being like this. Will probably test in just over a week. Scary. DH and I went out to the movies and dinner last night, was amazing... love having Mum here. As I mentioned above DS's TTing isn't going so well again now.. very frustrating.

Sorry, I need to vent! Poor DS, he is so up and down ATM, he is either being so cute and devine, or an absolute terror. I really feel sorry for him, but I have zero patience for the terror stuff ATM, and when I'm on my own with him and he's being 'naughty' I find myself flipping out at him. Just now I put him in his room because he kept trying to throw the pump on the floor :o and I left him in there for the last 4 minutes of expressing :(. I HAD to or I would never had got that last bit of milk. It feels like DH is always effing working, and I'm so over it. I know he can't help it, he's already had so much time off. And he stayed with us the whole week in hospital etc. It's his own business, if he doesn't work we don't eat! But it is soooo hard being at home alone with DS. Everyone keeps telling me to rest and relax etc etc, but when the hell am I supposed to do that???????
-
Dont you have any family or friends to help Janie? That is a pet peeve of mine when people say that, you kinda think HTF am I supposed to do that!? Instead of talking at me about it how about lending a hand. I wish I was down there to help you!
As for Ds, totally normal behaviour but it doesnt make it any easier to deal with. Such a difficult age in top of a difficult time for you. I think your doing a great job; dont be afraid to cry for help though if you can get it
(FWIW my boys have had numerous times locked in their rooms for a few mins if I needed to do something they were hindering, I think you gotta do what you gotta do. He was safe atleast and you got your expressing finished. It wasnt for hours so dont feel bad!)
-
Freya, we have so much help it's ridiculous! Seriously, we are so lucky. But I feel like we are pushing our luck as it is, we need someone to look after DS1 5-6 days a week ATM, and it's usually for about 6-8 hours, so no walk in the park. And then I need a lift into the hospital on those days, which takes anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half, depending on traffic. So I feel like we're asking enough as it is, I can't ask people to come and sit with me from whatever time DS1 wakes up in the morning!!!!! I just cannot wait to be able to drive again, only 9 days to go ;) That has been the only real PITA about the caesar, not being able to drive.
-
Its not like your just being lazy Janie, its a difficult and delicate situation so Im sure everyone would understand that you need more help than a lift to the hospital or a pat on the back! You had a csection for a start; then your expressing frequently; lots of travelling; lots of time spent with D, Im betting you are exhausted. If someone didnt understand your need for 10min to yourself then they arent worth your time, if someone offers take them up on it! I would take N for you if I lived down there on my non Uni days; one more kid makes no difference to me and he would prob have a ball with my boys :) You deserve a medal for going through this my dear; I would have had a meltdown in the first 5 min.
-
Janie - I'm glad you have lots of help but it's still hard hun. Very hard! I agree with Freya, I would have lost the plot by now. I remember what it was like having D in special care. If they'd have sent me home without him I'd have lost the plot and the hospital is only 5 mins from us! You are doing an AMAZING job!
Arrrgh, gotta go, sick baby just woke up waaay too early. Poor bubba :( Off to the drs at 11am.
-
We're off to the Drs at 2:15 too W. Stellan has a bad cold, Im starting to feel like crap, Ripleys nose is now starting to run. Honestly whats next!? Im going to have to miss another day of Uni tomorrow because Im betting atleast one of the boys wont be cleared for daycare *sigh* Im starting to think I should just pull out while I still can.
Laney - oh so exciting, good luck I will cross my crossables the line gets darker!
-
Oh sweet Janie big cuddles... I really really really get what you are saying. I had similar with my four at home when I would go home for breaks. Mostly it was DD14 she was nightmarish whilst I was in hospital as all the attention was away from her... :wall:
You are going to get through - just do it however it is you can honey. Your son is playing up because it's a big change & Mama is not as available. You know that - but just hear that you are feeling very very normal & behaving very very normally. It's a stressful, anxious & exhausting time.
I remember so well the 2nd hourly over 24 hours pumping... I feel so much for you honey... Remind yourself that this is your gift to your baby - and your other son had this gift too. Now it's this baby's time & that beautiful milk is his way to a healthful beginning. Janie he looks so so so beautiful your baby Daniel! He is so yummy! You grow gorgeous boys!
Thankyou for your text - I am exhausted here - just keeping it together. DD14 is still quite ill & very very time consuming... Lucy still has sutures & her wound has broken down - it was a high possibility due to the depth and nature of the lac but still it's so upsetting for anal me! Not to mention my poor little Lucy who is such a tough little engine. Of all my kids (aside Immy) she's the toughest... *sigh*
I feel wrung out and beached right now... I would love a fairy to land and grant me 3 wishes...
BBL
-
Willow, I am so close to losing the plot. But I just can't, you know. After sending DS to his room again while expressing I asked DH to take tomorrow off, so he's trying to organise that. I hope to god he can, otherwise I might just break down! At the hospital now, that always improves my state of mind :)
-
Janie: You are going through such a lot at the moment, tired, emotionally exhausted, recovering physicall from the C-section I think you need to be gentle with yourself. If DS spends a few mins in time out then don't beat yourself up over it. You are doing an amazing job given how much you are trying to do at once. My DS was being a right terd this morning and I lost my temper with him. We are all human, tomorrow is a new day.
Laney: Whoo Hoo honey, a line is a line babe. I hope it continues to get stronger, I'm so happy for you
Michelle: Where for art thou? Miss you babe.
Freya: Man, you're doing it tough babe with all the sickness. Just think, once everyone is better and sleeping the night through again, just having to do uni will be a piece of cake.
Inanna: The universe has to swing back in your favour soon hon. Do you have a diagnosis for DD14? I hope that she makes a full recovery soon. You breed em' tough love.
Willow: 10GG :o Wow, you put me to shame. Even breastfeeding I'm a C or D at a stretch. One hot Mumma.
Kelly: I've still got my fingers crossed for you babe :crossfingers: Glad to hear you are having such a great time with your mum.
Mako: when do you expect the test results from Dr S? I hope it is soon and it is all good news.
Well same same here. I have my MIL visiting on Wed which as some of you know is always an issue for me. Hopefully the kids are enough of a distraction. B is doing great, growing bigger and bigger and such a relaxed little boy. Nothing seems to bother him. O is great, allbeit a bit cheeky but to be expected at this age I guess. I'm sick of being so fat so I'm of to the gym this arvo to have my post baby check so I can get back into it. Scared that I"m going to look like an unco flabby whale but you've got to start somewhere.
Lv Spring.

Thanks everyone. Deb, I had a similar thing to Ruby when I was 16. I kept coming home from school and going to bed and sleeping for hours on end. And then complaining that I was still tired! I felt pretty awful. Eventually they worked out that I'd recently had GF and that I had a post-viral type thing. I hope your girl is feeling better soon, it's tough. For everybody! Xoxo
-
Hello Everyone,
WTG Janie on Daniel's weight gain.
Laney - I hope you have a sticky bubba there.
Kelly - Fingers crossed for the ttw.
Willow - GG!!! I can't get past a C and that this bfing. Good on you for going to the gym. I wish I could go.
Spring - Be kind to yourself hun, you only have just had a baby, I'm still fat at 8 months post delivery.
Deb - I hope everyone gets better in your house. Like Janie I had GF when I was 14 and I slept every afternoon after school for 6 months.
Michelle - Where are you hun???
Big hugs to all.
-
Bugger, just typed a long post, and lost it.... rounds off the day really, we lost Luc this day 3 years ago - so won't go and type it all again - but will pop back in tomorrow and do some personals again!!!!! Have survived another anniversary, birth yesterday, and passing today. The pain doesn't end, but we survive.
Hugs to all, Lee xoxoxo
-
Lee my heart goes out to you. May your angel Luc be watching over you and warming your heart. Fly free little boy
-
Good evening ladies,
Hope you are all well.
Janie  you are doing an amazing job and from the sound of things little Mr D is doing fabulously too, hope everyday brings him a little fat, growth and closer to being home with his mum and dad and big brother.
Lee - think of your little boy and hoping his angel wings have touched you today.
Freya - you go for it girl, you do such a great job with the boys and at home that you deserve some time off!! Hope the germs stay away from your place though.
Bek - how are your little princesses doing??
Deb - oh poor Rubs hope she gets through all of this - sure she will with supermum on hand to help out!
Wilow - PMSL at your bra shopping / Freya episode but so glad for you that your keeping up with this gym thing.
Laney - Wooot! Congratulations hun xx
A big cheerio to everyone else, its nearly midnight and I need to sleep! All good here, had a busy weekend and did some house stuff today. I was having half hourly ctx last night but they stopped around midnight, hoping its the rehearsal for the real thing! Start sending your LV's girlies! I need this baby to decide its birth day all on his / her own!
Hope to be back tomorrow to catch up properly
Lis xx
-
Sending you lots of LV's Lisa! Woohoo! :D
-
ACUPUNCTURE LISA  Its what got Stellan out after days of stops and starts; and then a whole night of 3-5min apart contractions that dialated me a whole ZERO cm's hehe So exciting though, your so close!
Gosh Im starting to get a little jealous of all these pregnant or new mummies; I always loved the excitement leading up to giving birth and having a newborn *sigh* Maybe one day I'll do it all again.
Everyones on the mend sickness wise although Im missing Uni again today because Stellan has a UR tract infection thats making him a teeny bit miserable. He was cleared for daycare but I dont want to send him when he isnt happy. So its study for me today. Tomorrow is a study day for one of my subjects so hopefully he is feeling much better tomorrow and they can all go so I can finish my assignment. Otherwise everythings going to poop :( I think I might have made a huge mistake moving back in with Ryan; taking on Uni............
On a positive note, bootcamp starts tonight and I am so looking forward to it. Im prob NOT going to be after Ive started cause Im sure I'll be sore and sorry but its worth it haha
-
Hi girls. I am here. A few computer issues and just feeling very, very tired. We have reached the half way mark but that also sends me on the path to 25w3d as the next milestone. Getting more movements which is great but just hanging in there until the next step. The little people are having there moments on and off so sleep has been a little bit disrupted. DH and I have been working opposite shifts too so I don't feel like I have had a day off or a *rest* day for ages. Work is busy (tonight was a shocker!!) and I am just not doing well in this humidity. It is making me feel sick and I hate feeling this way when otherwise I feel pretty fabulous ;)
I promise to come back to posting very, very soon.
Lee  Anniversaries are so hard. They never seem to get any easier. Caitlyn's EDD passed by the other week and (as usual) her rose sent me a flower and it rained. Gotta love the girl - she is nothing if not consistent LOL I hope you found some peace amongst the tears.
Janie - you are doing so well and don't you forget it!!!! With all of the pressures you have ATM it is not surprising at all that DS1 is acting out  My little man was doing the same in the weeks surrounding the amnio results and the anomaly scan. Little monkeys know how to push our buttons as well as being clever enough to pick up on the stress. I am off for the next 2 days so if you need to chat then call me *mwah* Hang in there - you really are doing a fantastic job under really tough circumstances
Football starts this weekend so I am looking forward to my *outing* and a few minutes of relative quiet. Not logical for those who know where I will be but you know what I mean. No one calling out to mummy is quiet
BBL ladies - and thank you for checking on me :grouphug:
Jayney poo - skype is on often too ;)
Lisa - I second the acupuncture
Freya - study is a tough gig without the family stuff too
-
Sick bubba (who is not sleeping well with a hacking cough), sick toddler and now sick mummy :(
Lee - I'm glad you survived another year.
Deb, Janie, Michelle, Anna - hang in there
Pathetic attempt at personals but that's all I got folks.
BBL
-
Lee sending you another  hun.You sure have been through so so much.
Michelle I hope you enjoy your time at the footy. I can't believe its the begining of the season already. Woohoo on passing half way too.
Willow I'm sorry to hear you aren't well now either. I hope the yucky bugs leave your home soon.
Megsmum It was lovely to finally meet you yesterday although I'm sorry I had to keep running off chasing a very busy 2 year old who thought it was funny to RUN away as fast as he could several times lol.
Lisa sending you some more gentle L.V's hun. I'm looking forward to seeing your BA soon :)
Spring I hope your visit from your MIL is a pleasant one tomorrow
My appointment is on Thursday with Dr S. I have the results of the NK Cells already and they came back perfect but another part of the test wasn't so great but we already knew about that side of things(blood clotting issues). I'll be interested to hear what else he has in mind for us :)
I had to take Sage to Physio this morning to get his feet checked again and she was sooooo happy and said he's fine and everything he's doing is perfectly within the "normal" range of things which I'm stoked to hear. I have to admit I was a bit concerned especially as a few people had commented on his feet. But I can now reply with "he's fine" :p
Hi to all of you. I hope you are all ok.
-
Lee, Michelle, Freya -
Willow - Hope you're all feeling better soon
Mako - Was lovely to meet you too! Sage is such a cutie, no problem about the running off - BTDT LOL
Lisa - Lots of LVs coming your way!
Janie - Fantastic effort little Daniel! What a little champ you have :) and I think you are a legend too! Hope he will be home with you all really soon
Spring - Hope you enjoy the gym :)
Hi everyone I've missed, hope you are all well.
We have been having a better week than last, day sleeps are back to normal and my happy bub is back. DH is off to QLD for work tomorrow for the rest of the week, so hoping things stay OK :crossfingers: Anyway gotta go, my 2 need me :) so sorry for the quick persies.
-
Sorry, no time for personals but just need to have a little whinge!!
DS has been sooooo up and down with his TTing and I'm getting really frustrated. It's sooo annoying. Every time he seems to get it, we have more accidents!! Over the weekend I gave up again and put him back into nappies which he was fine about. He even said "I want to be a baby again"... then out of the blue, he asked to do wee on the toilet again (and did it). So we're trying again, this time, I've told him no more nappies because as soon as we put pull ups on, he just wees and poos away. So I decided we just have to go for it. He's clearly ready, has done 2 poos in the toilet and comes and tells me he needs to go (sometimes).. then out of the blue, he'll take 10 steps back again. I can tell he needs to go but he gets really angry and says "No, don't need to go toilet" or "don't want to do wees in the toilet" and that will be after a whole day of doing every single wee in the toilet. We even went out to playgroup in undies today and he ran up to me half way through wanting to go to the toilet.. and straight away did a wee in the toilet. I was so impressed, made a big fuss of him and he was so proud. I really thought we'd taken a big step, then another accident at home... when we KNEW he wanted to go... but he wouldn't even go into the toilet. Its so weird and so random. I know I have to persist with it but how long is it going to take. He's just so stubborn and I don't know what to do anymore. It's getting hard not to get frustrated when I know that he knows he needs to go. Arrrrggggg!!!
Sorry for the little rant.... I'm also a bit on edge with the whole TTC thing so that doesn't help. Bring on next week when I'll hopefully have an answer on that.

Kelly - I don't have any advice because honestly I have found it's one of those things they 'get'' when they're ready and there's not a damn thing you can do to speed up the process. DD was much the same, I got sick of the accidents and put it off for 6 months then tried again. Second time around she got it within days. DS has been completely different. About 3 weeks ago now I figured I'd give it a shot cause some of the little boys in our baby buds thread were doing really well. To be honest, I didn't expect it to happen and was a bit half hearted about the whole thing. But to my amazement he got it straight away and is now at the point where he is weeing and pooing on the potty all day and even when he has a nappy on now after his nap he will come and ask me to take it off so he can go on the potty. Completely different experience this time.
So it's absolutely nothing that I've done or haven't done because both my kids have been very different. I know it's frustrating because I felt the same way with DD. And the closer she crept to 3, the more paranoid and almost embarrassed I got that she was still in nappies  I know that's a terrible thing to say but I felt like it was something that I'd 'failed' at.
He WILL get there in his own time. If you can handle the accidents, I'd keep going. It doesn't sound like he's doing too badly otherwise.
-
LISA LISA LISA _ Not long now until you have a teeny tiny bubba in your arms!! I'm so excited!!! Can you please, please, please text me when the times comes???
I must go, hungry, tired children are in the house & I need to get dinner organised. Will BBL.
Love Jayne
PS _ Can you please cast your little eyes to my ticker??? Motoring along........ love it!
-
I have to ditto Willow Kelly. We tried twice with Jett but he just kept backtracking after a few days of going alright. So we finally got stuck into it in Feb at 3.5 and bam he got it in one day. I think we had maybe 4 accidents all up and that was about 7wks ago now. He has only pooped on the potty once (some weird fear of his) but he tells me he wants a nappy if he's going to poo otherwise he is in jocks all day and a pull up at night.
Maybe just give your little dude a few more months and see how he goes then. Boys are notorious for being slackers at toilet training; and I honestly (and no offence intended) think parents put waaaaaaaaaay to much onus on being potty trained by day dot. Normal age is 3.5-4 for day training. Kids buckle under pressure and will often train in a day if they are well and truly ready. If he asks to potty let him but otherwise try again in a few months, can make the world of different and a whole lot less stress for you and him
-
Hi all :) Feeling a bit better yesterday and today. It's still so hard though, I feel like I'm just barely keeping my head above water. I can't do a good job of mothering either of my boys, as I can't be there for both of them. I know that's just our reality ATM, but it still feels awful :(. Poor DS1, he's being so good really, but he's so sad when I leave him each day. Not crying and having meltdowns about it, just really sad, which feels worse, it breaks my heart. I'm trying really hard to spend time with him playing when we're at home together, which seems to help a bit. And we're going to a Playschool concert with our lovely friends on Friday, which I'm really looking forward to, DS is going to love it! I will feel so torn though, as it means I won't see DS2 until that evening.
Tiny guy is doing really well :) it was great to see him love his bath so much yesterday! He'd just pulled his NG tube out  and we removed all of his sticky bits for the bath, so I got to see him just as he is for a little while, which was lovely. Spoke to our paed yesterday, who I love, and she's really happy with him. But did caution me that he's still a way off coming home. You know, I knew that, but it's still really hard to hear her say it, cos I can't pretend at all that he might be home soon! I really, really want him home for Easter, it's my 30th birthday on Easter Sunday, and I just know I will be miserable if I don't have all my boys at home with me. But again, trying not to get my hopes up, in case it doesn't happen. I do feel fairly confident that he'll be home by then though.
Sorry for all the 'me me me' posts ATM, but it does feel good to get it out. Love to all, and LVs to Lisa! Oh, speaking of, do you have my mobile number Lisa? Cos I want a text when bubba arrives! And I'll be able to visit you, cos I'm in there every day anyway  Hmmm, that's assuming you're going back to FPH? I hope so, they have been awesome this time around, the new hossy is great.

Janie... I know the feeling. When we were in the SCN there was another little girl that had some breathing difficulties when she was born - they kept telling her family that she'd be home for Christmas but would then look at us and shake their heads and tell us that Sam wouldn't be home for Christmas... which we knew, but we just didn't like to hear it! Just remember that while it feels like forever now, it really is only going to be a short period of time in the overall scheme of things.
Still being slammed by work - hardly even managing to keep up with reading. :( Perhaps I should just give up on forums and go live under a rock!
