Bun - Thrilled to hear DD is sleeping through - well done!!!! Sooooo exciting when it finally happens. Can't wait for it to happen here again. The night waking is starting to take it's toll here. He usually only wakes me twice a night but last night was 3 times and I'm starting to get tired. I had such hopes for this kid, thought he'd be the one to sleep through 'early' but apparently not :rolleyes:

Bek - Wow, sounds like Eva's been a busy little bee!! How good is it when you get an explanation for the lack of sleep? Kinda restores your faith a bit. Can I ask how she's going overnight these days? Guess I'm just wondering if I'm doing the right thing here and if there's hope in sight. Do you feed her to sleep if she wakes at night? I know D is only 7 months and I am happy for him to feed overnight but I'd realllllly like to cut it down to one feed if I can.

Not much happening here - had a mummy meltdown day yesterday. A short list of my misadventures - Slept in and was running late for school run, sat on the lounge to put my shoes on as we're running out the door and sat on a sippy cup of water, popped the lid off and covered myself in water so had to get changed with minutes to spare, left my phone on top of the car and drove down my street before I heard the 'clunk' and remembered, had to retrieve said phone (in 3 pieces) from the middle of the road while the kids yelled at me from the car, got to school and double pram wouldn't unfold so had to put baby in ergo, toddler on foot (NEVER good) forgot to book the boys into the creche at the gym so had to go later than planned which meant waking D from his sleep. The boys slept at the same time after lunch so the afternoon passed without incident until I put the boys in the car to go to school and D did a number 3 - all over himself, the car seat and ME....it was 3pm and I had to run back inside, change us both, clean the carseat and get to school :angry: I was late and DD was none too impressed :rolleyes: Then we're getting in the car to go home and she starts screaming at me that she needs to go to the toilet NOW or she will wee in the car... thankfully my friend was there and she just lives on that street and offered the use of her toilet. The day ended with DH at training and both boys crying in bed for me at the same time :wall: :wall:

Today's gotta be better, right??!! :lol:

Willow - Wow.. that's one hell of a day you had. Hugs. Surely today has to be a whole lot better.

Lee - I'm so glad you've got your MIL there, it will make a massive difference. LOL at your post, strangely, it cheered me up!

Bun - Woo Hoo.. sounds like things are going really well!!

Lisa - C'mon little one, time to make an entrance!!

Mako - Yeah, I started taking the asprin straight away and am waiting to hear back from my OB as to when I need to see her. I'm really trying very hard to live in the land of De-Nile.. but it's hard... Michelle... I need your help!!!

Sorry, don't have the energy for any more personals. I'm really tired already and don't feel so good. I think it's just the nerves, worry and dealing with Mum going. There were more tears this morning, I miss her terribly and keep wondering what we're doing living over there. It's getting to me again. Just when I thought I'd settled in really well and was dealing with it all, I now feel like I'm back at square one and maybe not dealing with the move as well as I thought. Being pg again doesn't help though. I'm all over the damn place.

Bek: your little girl has been super busy by the sound of it. As Willow said it's nice when there is a reason for the sleep interruption.

Well I'm a little annoyed. My usual GP ( who is also a lactation consultant) was booked out today so went to see one of the male Drs. Ben seems to have a bit of an upset tummy so just wanted it checked. He proceeded to tell me that feeding a baby any more often then 4 hourly is 'unusual' ( his exact words) and that becuase I'm demand feeding I've given him the runs'. WTF!!!! I put him in his place and said that advice was wrong and antiquated. He didn't listen to me. I just thought if I was a first time mum that would really worry me that my baby was 'unusual' and that I was giving him an upset belly. Utter crap!!! I'm going to tell my usual GP who owns the surgery and make sure he isn't passing out that rubbish advice to anyone else. Get with it drongo.

DS also has decided to totally reject me and only wants Dad ATM. He has told me ' I no love you Mummy' which I know he doesn't understand but it cuts. I have no idea where he has heard it but I'm trying to ignore it and not get to me. He had a bad dream last night and I went in and he screamed for Daddy. He has never ever done that before. Poor little Mum is on the outer for the moment.

Just a quick post, because I'm sick and feeling blah today :( I've got this horrible cold thing, so got even less sleep than normal - I could only get to sleep on the lounge so that meant I was up and down to E whenever she woke for a feed, which as usual was every couple of hours. Oh well....cr@p happens I guess.

Kelly - Congrats on the BFP hun! Sending you heaps and heaps of sticky vibes :dance:

Spring - OMG :o what an idiot!! Good on you for telling your usual GP, that is scary that a dr is giving out such outdated info.

Take Luke down to the park & let him burn off some duracells or something & then sit down & do some puzzles or something with him - just to shift the focus.

Well, I have to say I'm feeling a little more relaxed today.. it helped having Luke in daycare (LOL).. have had a really great day that included some lovely cuddles with Janie's adorable little Daniel!!! He's so gorgeous and still sooooo tiny but doing incredibly well. Janie looks absolutely amazing too and it was so precious to see her cuddling her little man. It was such a pleasure to give her some company today... I really needed it. The rest of my day included lots of lying on the couch watching TV, something I never really get the chance to do during the day, and I'm not feeling guilty about it either!!!!

Mako - Hope the nasty bugs are gone soon. How are you going?? I'm trying so hard to keep living in that wonderful place of De-Nile but I'm not very good at it!!!

Jayne - Naughty girl logging on during work!! Thanks for your advice though.. I really need to do exactly that and calm down a little!!! I've been shocking!

Willow - Re night feeds. Eva is still feeding up to 3 times per night and she rarely sleeps longer than 4 hours. Recently I've had a few people comment that she "should" be going longer and I've been wondering if I should be trying to re-settle her instead of offering a feed. I am exhausted atm because I haven't had decent sleep for donkeys

Oh Bek - no wonder you sooo exhausted hun. DD was waking only once at around 5am for a feed at around Eva's age, maybe you should try re settling to see if that will work.

Sorry for lack of personals right now, just too tired and busy at home. No movement at the station ladies, everything seems to have stopped and bubby is fairly quiet so Im hoping he/she is just gathering some energy before d day. Went for a walk last night and going again for a bigger one today in the hope of speeding things along.

Off to make a chocolate cake for later, PMSL its not even 9am!!

Mmmmm - chocolate cake LOL Sounds wonderful. More acupuncture if you can get it. And as weird as it sounds, make peace with the path your baby has chosen. Be happy they will come when they are ready and in the manner they choose. You have done everything you can to prepare for this birth. Now is the time to trust in your little one and give them the control. It wasn't until a chat with Deb and resigning myself to following the path of the baby that Lily made her grand entrance. I had to let go and in doing so released the tension and stress that was making her think twice about arriving.

BBL girls. Feeling ok today. Omar has been more active and mummy is slightly less stressed. At the beauticians too for a pedicure which is always good for the soul!!

Thanks Michelle :hug: i think i will need to do just that and have a chat with this little bubba.. i'll put miss a down for a nap and light some candles to help.

Lisa :hug: It is so hard to actually let go but it is so important. They sense the anxiety / tension. If you can, light the candles and sit in a darkened space for a little while. Visualise the tension of waiting for this baby to arrive and the tension of preparing for a VBAC flowing out the bottom of your feet and out your fingertips. Feel the energy flow and as you do, visualise the uterus relaxing and opening like a flower. Like the petals as they open outwards. Do some focused breathing while you are visualising and with each breath out feel the tension leave your body. With each breath in feel a blanket of peace wrapping around you (or you can visualise white light being drawn in and surrounding you). When you are ready - shake your hands and feet to remove the tension clinging to them. Take a few deep breaths yoga style and know that you are ready, relaxed and prepared to accept the path your baby has chosen.

You can do a bath too where you spend some time talking to your baby and enjoying the few last moments of that beautiful belly and the movements inside (assuming you can get out :lol:)

You are ready. You can do this. You are prepared. Now is the time to let go and accept there is nothing more for you to do but wait and trust :hug: Give me a call if you need to chat. I know how hard those days just waiting are :hug:

Michelle I'm happy little Omar is being a good boy and letting you know all is ok in there by the more frequent movements. How is everyone else doing at your place?

Sorry for lack of personals atm but I'm feeling awful. I have this stupid cold/flu thing going on atm and can't even bring myself to take a panadol :( On the other side of things it all seems to be going ok I think. M/S is still around with avengence and I'm so so tired and irritable. Poor DH coped an earful last night over the fact he wouldn't decide on something for dinner :redface: Oh well atleast he's getting a break this weekend as he's going away tonight until early hours Monday morning. I'm just hoping everything is ok here while he's away. DS isn't well either..same cold/flu thing as me so he's miserable too.

Actually Mako - things here aren't too bad. For the minute ;) I do feel like DH and I are disconnected from each other and him from the pregnancy but it is mainly time related and should be better over the weekend after my dummy spit last night :redface: DD is chit chatting away with more words each day and toddling around happily. DS amazed the nanny the other day when he said hello to a Chinese man in Chinese :rofl: Nick Jnr has a lot to answer for!! Just wait until he speaks to someone in Spanish thanks to Dora and Diego :D

I hope the cold / flu gets better soon but I am very happy you are sick and feeling like crud with the M/S (that is said with love BTW ;))

I am sorry I haven't been posting much. The last few weeks have been incredibly incredibly taxing... I will post all about it later... I just haven't got the head space for it.

Lisa: Your baby & you have a relationship that begun many months ago. Before your body can birth your head has to be in a birthing space. I believe that acupuncture & EPO & sex etc all help. What helps most in my observation and experience is when the Mama can let go. That is a much pedalled term I know.

What I suggest is really spending time with your baby & your body. A bath like Michelle suggested is always good. Being outside with your feet earthed on the ground. Telling your baby & meaning it that you let go & accept when the right time has come for him/her to be born.

"My baby will be born in the perfect time for him/her".

Go inside yourself and really acknowledge any fears, doubts or concerns. Look at them, acknowledge them, do what is necessary to express them and then let go...

Shout to the night sky with shoes off...

Your body will birth this sweet baby when you are ready. Not just your body but your head...

We will all be here to wait, watch, light our candles and hold you energetically. :hug:

LISA _ Oh my, you must be so, so, so, so, so close to bubby coming along now. I'm so excited for you. What's the plan with Miss A when labour starts? Where is she off to? Is she going to see bubs first to announce to everybody a brother or a sister? It's so exciting you are making me cluck!!!

BEK _ Claudy was BF & she too was sleeping through til 5 am, do you think that perhaps maybe Eva doesn't know how to settle herself back down to sleep & feeding is the only way she knows how? I'm not at all saying that's a bad thing, but it sounds like she can't pass from one sleep cycle to another without feeding back into la la land. Maybe you can try rocking her back to sleep for a few nights, then try patting her back to sleep for a few nights? I'm not saying any of this WILL work, but it may not hurt to give it a go?

MICHELLE _ Oooh I love a good pedicure!!! I haven't had one of those in agessssssssssss. I have been painting my own toenails just lately - cos I can reach them superly now :rofl:

I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but perhaps you might be able to try rocking her back to sleep during the night for a few nights & when that works, go to patting her to sleep? Just some ideas - cos I honestly don't know how you're still functioning!!!

Jayne - the exact reason for a pedicure (besides the obvious luxury of it ;)) it that it is getting harder and harder to reach my toes without discomfort. Omar doesn't like to get squashed :D

MICHELLE _ Are we allowed to know which names you are liking for Omar??? As with the reaching toenails fiasco, I have no Omar to blame - just some really, really warm insulation that was preventing toenail painting - I have finally shed some insulation & can now reach them with ease! heheeh

Well Jayne - there are a few criteria considering the names we have for DS and DD. Both seem to have come from the 1800's so a "modern" name may not fit. Good thing the classic names are fashionable :lol: The other criteria is from DH - it needs to sounds good after a few red wines and roll off the tongue :rofl: Say my little people's names after a few and you will get what he means ;)

So far Henry looked good (but now not permitted - BIL has dibs and they are due just before us :D) we had Charlie but not sure as DH now has it linked to the pre-amnio stress and George seems to be a popular choice. Having said that - we are in no way decided so it could still be anything!!

Ok, old school names - lemme think............. Christian? I actually really like that name myself. Hmmmm, Sebastian? Cos I love Sebby for short :lol: Jack?

Oh & another thing - Charlie now seems to be popular for girls????

Hello to everyone else that I've missed.

AFM - I'm doing ok. Can't stop thinking about this pg and wondering what will be. It's driving me a little bit mad but I don't have anything else in my life right now to distract me.. and I'm so far from my family. It's hard. But I also know there's nothing I can do and just need to play the good old waiting game. So frustrating. Wish I could just forget it and get on with things. DS has been soooo up and down lately too, he'll go from being the perfect angel, to the most horrible monster.. in a matter of minutes. I know he's a toddler and at that age but it's driving me mad!! He just won't listen to me... I need some respect damn it... LOL. At least I'm not getting quite as frustrated with him atm.. we'll see how long that lasts!!! I'm trying hard.

Oh and I have to share this... I think I've been on here a bit too much lately because every time I get the laptop out, DS runs over and wants to see the little yellow man that waves at him!!!! Took me a while to work out its the little smilie in my signature. LOL. DS just sits there and waves back at him... priceless.

Do you have anything exciting planned for the weekend?

My next scan is on Tuesday afternoon and then if all is well I see my Ob on the 7th April which seems so far away. I haven't seen her for this preg yet though. As for Dr S I need to call him after my scan and let him know all the details and if everything is ok then I don't need to see him again but if its not then I need to have all the tests re done for him. I'm so all over the place atm but really trying to stay positive but am also trying to prepare for the worst too if that makes sense. I mean all the M/S and preg symptoms are so strong but I still have the view in my head from my last scan with Bubs heart rate stopping and starting. Far out this is so tough :(

Ok so I'm having a bit of a quiet weekend which will be nice. DS is out the back playing with his diggers in the dirt lol. He asks to play out there every day and he ends up so filthy dirty hahaha. He's such a boy :rofl: I need to get onto DH to build him a sandpit so he can play in that instead of the little bit of dirt thats out there.

Question.. as of this afternoon, I cannot walk.. yep.. the pain in my pubic area / bone is so much that its very difficult to walk. Also feeling some back pain and pain in the bum :o but still no contrax. This is all normal yes??

Other than that Im travelling well, just getting last minute things done at home, like cleaning the change table AGAIN!!

Jayne - Miss A is going to a friends house, they will drop her off at hossy, she will be the first one to see bub and to announce it to everyone, we will get her to ring our parents!! Im soooo excited now Whoo HOOoooooo!!!!

A very quick hello while I'm expressing and the rest of the house is sleeping! My head space is not great ATM, crazy I know, given that D is home tomorrow! Thank god, I am SO SO sick of that hospital, particularly the nursery. It really is a very lonely place. I'm frustrated with my supply, and annoyed myself for being tired when there's so much to do. Trying to balance it all with some rest though. But all will be well, D will be tucked up in my arms in just over 24 hours!

I ran into my Ob the other day and we were chatting when he remembered that my placental biopsy results had come back the day before. We didn't have a formal chat, he'll fill me in more at my 6 week check. Not that there's much to fill me in on, the biopsy did show something, but it still doesn't give us any answers I don't think. Apparently it appeared like I had suffered from gestational high BP, which I'm taking to mean thinned blood vessels, and/or clots etc. But I've never had high BP ever, my BP is perfect, sometimes on the lower side, but nothing to worry about. So I'm perplexed............any ideas nursey girls? :lol:

Janie You and little D have done so so well to be allowed home tomorrow. I bet you are a teeny tiny bit excited about that ;) and to have him home in time for Easter and your Birthday :clap: Please hun you need to give yourself a bit of a break. You have been on a very tough journey this past couple of months. I'm sure once D is at home with you and your lovely little family things will become a little less stressful especially as you won't be travelling to and from the hospital for feeds etc. To me you are a legend and you deserve a huge pat on the back babe.

Not much happening here. Having a day at home trying to feel better with this sickness. I woke up this morning with a huge headache and am wishing that will go away on its own soon. I might have a sleep when DS has his nap this arv and hope I wake up feeling better.

Mako, thank you for asking about me. I am here. I read, just not much to post. So far everything has been going well here. I had blood test and my hcg levels were rising well. I have had no bleeding so far...which is out of the norm for me. Just some little cramps here and there. I started clexane right away and that is going well too. I have my first scan on Friday. I have been having a harder time than I thought I would, just very nervous.
I have my fingers crossed for you that everything is excellent on Tuesday.

Janie, I am very excitied for you. No more trips to the hospital :dance:
After Shelby's placenta biopsy they told me the same thing. There was a large dead area from a clot and very small blood vessels. There was no reason for the issues and I was tested for everything. I have low BP and did all during the pregnancy so now I take clexane. Grayson had a 100% normal placenta :dunno:
