You know what? We used this book for our first child and we found it worked. We tried it on our second child and it didn't. So we stopped. Thems the breaks. If it doesn't suit your child then try something else. Only an idiot would persist with something that isn't suiting their child.
What is the point of this article except to stir up peoples feelings? Everyone knows BB wouldn't support the Babywise principles so why even put this article up??? To make the mostly silent Babywise using members here feel bad? Rhetorical question, I'm not after an answer.
A far more controversial parenting method would be that nazi one (from Truby King) employed by that blond matron on 'Bringing up baby' so why not publish an article on that instead? I'm sure a lot more people watched that show a few months ago than have read or even heard of the Babywise book. The ABC nearly banned the show given it's harsh methods. Which interestingly Mick Jagger, Sting and Claudia Schiffer used...no reason to mention it except that it's funny how something so obscene as leaving your child out in the cold for hours at a time, and not allowing any eye contact during feeding can be embraced by people we might otherwise look up to in admiration.
Sorry if this reply offends you Kelly, your opinion is yours and mine is mine and on this issue we are at odds. As for everything else on BB....well, I absolutely love it and have no idea where I'd be without it.
