ok so we're moving to our new place next week.

DS will have his own room now, so I need suggestions on how to go about doing this and what I will expect DS to do.

A bit of a background, DS is 14.5 months old. He was sleeping in his own cot from the day we took him from hospy until when he was about 6 months. When he was 6 months, he got sick. Three days of high fever made him very clingy, so he slept with us. But the 3 days became almost a year now and I am thinking that it is time for him to sleep in his own (room or at least cot). I think he needs to sleep on his own cot because he is a good sleeper now and we have a consistent routine for him, but almost every night either DS or I wakes him up when we try to sneak into bed. He is not sleeping through the night yet (never ), but most night he only wakes up 2-3 times (first one when I sneak in and second time when DH sneak in).

So, any suggestions on how to go on about putting him to sleep in his own room? TBH, on one hand, I want him to sleep well but I am a little anxious of not having him sleeping next to me anymore. I am going to miss him, I think . Oh, and DH will not be helping me in this. I am by myself in the looking after DS department. DH never ever wakes up to help with DS. He pretends to still be asleep when DS cries .

TIA
