oh thats just terrible *big hugs* I can totally imagine how you felt when she turned up like that!
our cats have a collar on them with elastic as well so it stretches...my sister has one that has a clip so if her cat gets it caught on a branch or something it'll come undone so doesnt strangle the kittie.
