We have been here since Mid May, it has taken a bit for my husband to get work as he didnt have a trade, they say things have quietened down but expect them to pick up at the end of the year at the moment he is working for a pretty ****ty wage. Aside from that it is great, I'd recommend applying for jobs before leaving it takes ages to get things moving. The weather is great (even tho they think it is winter!) you wont think so being from Melbourne! I am 33 and have a almost four month old boy, and two little jack russell dogs and am married. We are living Pialba/Urraween suburb which is great coz I can walk the big shopping centre, but living near the esplanade would be great for walks. I love living here, the other great thing besides weather, scenery, beaches and shops is the big wide walking tracks and footpaths every where, great for a pusher. I'm just happy not to have to light the fire too.
