hi ladies, Brexton August was born on Nov. 10th at 11:26am. He weighed in at 8lbs7oz, a bit less than expected! I am feeling pretty good now but was very sick after the section, once again. We are home and trying to get some rest. will be back when i am in a little less pain.
Laney - Congratulations on the safe arrival of Brexton. I am so sorry to hear you were unwell again after your c section. I am surprised you are home from hossy so quickly. I am sure Grayson managed but is glad to have you home. Get some rest sweetie. Go gently.
Mo4 - I soooo know what you mean. Until Hannah Bear actually made it here to my arms, I had all the fear in the world that something would go wrong. Just try to go gently on yourself in these last weeks of the pregnancy, and boy do I know how tough that can be! My thoughts and prayers are with you. Be strong, not long now and these feelings will be a distant memory. I had a few CTG's like that with Hannah - they do scare you witless huh? Never had the electric razor though - I thought they were prepping you early for your caesear!
JLK - Teyha is looking just gorgeous now.
Jo - any more scans? I reckon your cervix is going to get longer in the next scan!
All good here. Rough morning from about 3am, but I am getting much better at handling them, and then just when I thought there was some respite at about 6.30am, Hannah woke up crying, a really sad heartbreaking little cry.... sort of a mhwaaah, rather than a scream or more lusty cry. She doesn't normally wake up crying like that.... it happens about once a week or so. Last night she had wind so maybe it's a follow on from that? At least I am able to soothe her and get her back to sleep. Precious little child. Anyway, got some errands to run. Belly rubs to all who still have their precious passengers and baby cuddles to those who have their precious bundles in their arms.
Laney, congrats again on Brexton! Gorgeous pic on FB and great name too
Dory - I have another scan in 1 week so fingers crossed for another good CL! I had a really vivid dream last night that I had a scan and my CL was only 1.2cm and I was bawling as it meant I would have to go to hospital. Hopefully that won't happen!! I have been pretty good and lying down as much as I can so lets hope the next scan is as good as the last.
Sorry, got to run, DD is very cranky and refusing to let her daddy have anything to do with her tonight for some reason. BBL x
Hi Ladies!
I have a quick minute to post while the boys are sleeping. I just wanted to let you know that everything is going well and I am feeling great after my section. So far Brexton is a pretty easy baby. He does have his nights and days a bit mixed up so I haven't been getting much sleep. Grayson is having a hard time sharing his mom too I am really scared for next week when DH goes back to work. It should be interesting!
It hasn't really hit me yet that I have two healthy boys. I really never thought I would be able to say that. Trying for a third has already crossed my mind Of course that might change after I am home alone with two boys next week.
Teni, how exciting about your induction date!! I hope all goes perfectly for you and Cookie is nice to you with an easy labour
Thanks for the congrats messages - we got home from the hospital yesterday and I am pretty tired so haven't really had the energy to get online much. I just had a good 2 hour + nap so am feeling a bit refreshed which is a nice change!
As Laney updated, our Gabe arrived on Thursday after a fast labour...the stitch removal was a pretty traumatic part of the day with my cervix refusing to give it up without a fight so my ob had to go in there 3 times trying to get it which was VERY painful for me (I was under gas for that) and had me at the point of mentioning the epidural word. I was even hitting my ob in his side yelling at him to stop touching me lol but he finally got it. I went from 1cm to 7cm almost the instant that happened so that shows the stitch was doing its job! A contraction or so later I felt Gabe move down and then it was game on and he was coming whether we liked it or not! I now know all about that "urge to push" feeling I had read about and my body just took over and basically did it without me. I followed my ob and the midwife's instructions about how to breathe and when to hold back on the pushing and it wouldnt have been longer than about half an hour from when the stitch was cut to when Gabe was born. No tearing or any damage to me YAY
I think on my official birth records it states my actual full labour went for 1.5hrs which must include the time before the stitch being cut when they had me on the drip contracting for a bit (and getting nowhere thanks to that damn stitch grrr). So, yes a quick labour either way!
Had a bit of a setback while in hospital as I managed to get mastitis before my milk had even properly come in and that knocked me around to the point that I was on IV antibiotics for 2 days but it did the trick and we got to come home as planned yesterday and all has been good since then other than the usual milk engorgement fun!
Gabe is so far a very placid little guy and barely cries but I am waiting for that to change as he starts waking up a bit more. I have to wake him in the day for his feeds so in retaliation he likes to party most of the night feeding He is a champion little feeder though, very efficient and fast at getting the job done which makes it easier although his attachment is still to be perfected somewhat but we get there.
Anyway, enough from me! Teni, again a big good luck for the end of the week and make sure you let us know how you go!
Jo - I am so glad to hear from you, and my my that was quick, the stitch was doing a great job, but Gabe was just ready to get his newborn cuddles. I do know what you mean about the stitch removal being unpleasant, but yours just sounds brutal.... but well worth it. Give you little man a hug for me.
Teni - being induced today... YAY....... anxiously waiting for your most excellent news that Cookie has made a grand entrance.... be brave my sweet, it is well worth it....... I am so happy for you that I have tears in my eyes as I type.... hugs to Scott too.
Well got to run just couldn't resist coming in to check once I saw Jo had posted and then remembered that today is Wednesday.
