Ditto LysnDan, make a big day of it next year with your little one
AFM, just got todays beta back.. 1762 so this pg is headed downhill fast. I guess then that this 'almost migraine' is my typical hormone dropping headache and not the sinus headache I was hoping it was.
Angelicdragon - I'm sorry to hear your HCG is going down
I had A BIG day today.. I went to the hospital today to see the OB and discuss management of this pregnancy. I haven't been back since the boys died so it was quite emotional. We have decided to put in a stitch at 14wks. I laboured with a stitch with the twins and it cut through the cervix so the OB thinks it may be damaged. Plus if I don't get a stitch I will be having scans all the time to measure my cervix and I could need one anyway, so I am happy with the decision.. 12wk scan next Thursday. Also she said she will do a c section early because she doesn't want me to labour at all, due to the classical cut, so we are looking at around the 16th of Dec and we will (hopefully) be home for xmas
I will have my little Button sewn in!!![]()
Judy - oh sweetie, for once I wish a sinus headache on someone! Hugs sweet. Praying for a miracle.
Blessed - TBH, I think you've made the best decision, re the stitch..... I imagine you would have been simply weak at the knees going back, but maybe also wistful thinking about Seth and Tait? I know when I go back to the hossy I do the rounds of the rooms where I met each of my bubs and spend a few seconds being thankful that I got to meet them and for how much they have each changed my life. Home by christmas for a little button is perfect. Well done you! I am not on here much, so GL with your scan next week.
LnD - hey - how are you going - 6/7 weeks now?
Snot fairy is visiting me again... i have that sinus headache I wouldn't wish on anyone and I can't take much for it and am avoiding panadol for me b/c HB needs some at the mo and I don't know how much passes through from me to her. There are funny parts - HB cracks up every time I blow my nose.
Hi ladies! Good news from me. Bubba is safe and sound (there's only one!!!) and we seen everything! A bigger gestational sac, a yolk sac, and blob of baby goodness! Including it's heartbeat which was at 111bpm!I'm measuring at 5w4d with an edd of 16 Feb 2012... (naww, I was thinking I was 6 weeks and due 14 Feb!) but alas, they've changed my dates. Haha!
I've fallen completely in love with my blob!!!![]()
Blessed- ouch for stitch, does it hurt? And yay for being home with your new Christmas bundle on time for Chrissy! Xx

I don't remember when I got it last time, but I have it done with a spinal block. It is only an overnight stay in hospital. I am so happy for you that your little bubba is growing. Bub may be born on valentines day anyway![]()
Blessed yay for a management plan. Hopefully this time the stitch will be ok and not cause any damage. Sounds like a good plan your Dr has in place.
Dory I hope your sinus clears up soon. You're right they are awful headaches and nothing seems to ease them.
LysnDan, yay for a positive scan. How great to see the heartbeat. 2 days is nothng sweets. At least it all looks good.
well my beta on the 17th was 1762 and on the 20th it was 2183doubling time about 203 hrs Funnily enough both my GP and OB are still hopeful even though the scan I had showed just a sac with a maybe hint of something inside but 10 days behind. rescan on the 28th but I am prepared for a D&C.
oh judy, i am not ready to give up all hope yet. I am going to stay hopeful too.![]()
Judy - I am with Laney - I am not ready to give up yet either. Keep strong.
LnD - YAY!!! Blob of baby goodness indeed. That is awesome.
Blessed - I had my stitch in under general anaesthetic at 14 weeks for H. It was a half day procedure for me. But I wasn't first on the list, which meant waiting whilst fasting and being ravenous... I was worried I was going to faint and puke from lack of food and water. But at least I got to wait in a bed rather than the waiting area. DH left me after a while cause he thought he would faint and puke from lack of food. Bugger him, he had the option of eating! I felt great after the ga and the procedure itself, actually a little hyper. Getting the stitch out was a different story - just in the obs room at the hossy, no pain relief. Yikes that was uncomfortable, but didn't prompt labourI was so disappointed to come home still pregnant that day. Haha.
Laney - how are you going sweet?
Oh well, right now I feel ok, but fading fast. Just had a shower ( yep it's 3pm and I just had a shower).... got to love the steam. Oh well.
I am so so very happy for you carrying your precious little bundles.... doing the bestest job in the world. Ahhh, can you tell I so want to be here. Oh exciting news for a friend of mine, after a years break from IVF because of a diagnosis of CAH, and being on meds, all her levels are now ok and she's got the go ahead for another cycle! I am so happy for her and I am hoping like anything that this next IVF cycle is successful for her and that it was the CAH holding her back. FX. She's been TTC for 5 1/2 years now and has the heartache of 2 m/c. We were friends before heartache, who would think our experiences would be similar in terms of heartache. I am hoping for a little blob f baby goodness for her due in April 2012.
Angelic dragon- any news yet on bubs?
Afm- still getting spotting.. It's mainly after internal ultrasounds and pelvic exams. I'm pretty sure it's only my cervix being so sensitive.
There was nothing on the ultrasound to suggest that baby was at risk... Eg the m word *shudders*...
Fingers crossed it's just my cervix being sensitive during pregnancy and nothing too serious. So scared of losing this baby ...
Hope everyone else is well...

LnD - ah sorry that the spotting is there.... it's just a constant reminder of the worst possibilities......stay snug lil one.
Judy - hugs, and hoping that your precious lil one stays snug and safe.
Sigh..... why is it just so hard for some? Be strong my lovelies.
LnD I still have spotting too. Most of the time it is darn brown/black but every couple of days it will be a fresh amount of red. I had a large amount at lunchtime today but it was dark red so already oxidised old so I am wondering if I have a SCH further up in the uterus... I guess the scan on Tuesday will tell us. I did a Digital test last Monday (7weeks) and it only read 2-3 wks (= to 4-5wks) so I caved in and did another one last night expecting it to read less but instead it read 3+ which is the most that brand of test will read. I still have sore, full, leaky bbs. Tired and nausea. I haven't felt bad enough to feel as if about to be sick, just feel off and wrung out.
I guess Nature is trying to teach me a lesson in patience.
Judy - Thats great news about the positive pg testsPraying for great news on Tuesday.
I had another scare on Sat morning. My stress levels are have been through the roof! All is ok now, I saw that beautiful HB again. NO MORE BLEEDING!!
still spotting here too.. enough to wear a pad still. tis mainly old coloured though not bright red so must be a bleed higher up. I have been feeling iller every day to the point of taking maxallon ( can only take 5mg though, not a full 10mg tablet) and having to fight back the dry heave/retch feeling. urgh but all good signs yes?
A definite pop belly too so no going to see my parents in law til we know something otherwise I know they will ask the inevitable question that I don't want to answer until at least mid-July.
How is everyone else? Any scans coming up or appts?
Laney?
12wk scan on ThursdayI can't wait, even though I only saw Bub on saturday after the scare. Is tomorrow your scan Angelicdragon?
angelicdragon, i will be thinking of you tomorrow.
blessed, 12 week scan is my favorite! I hope you get lots of great pics.
My next scan is wednesday. I am stating to get a little nervous about it. I have been a little sick on and off, nothing major.
Judy - that's awesome about being sick! Except that you feel yukky. Hope the maxalon takes the edge off. It usually does for me. But not the other night when I came down with norovirus, even the maxalon didn't stop that, but I suppose it made it less? So how come only 5mg? Do you usually get sick in your pregnancies?
Blessed - only 2 more sleeps til your scan. I can't believe how quickly it has flown by - well for an outsider.
LnD - how is your bump?
Laney - Only just over a week til yours.... it's impossible not to be nervous. Hope the m/s isn't too bad.
Well, still recovering here. Yikes, that was a completely miserable couple of days. I've never had gastro like that before, where in addition to gastro I had headaches, aches, pains and chills and fevers, and cramping all over (except in my tummy.... weird). I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Just hoping that I haven't given it to DH or HB. Poor HB I was breastfeeding her and had to put her down in the middle of the night to go puke. First time for everything. But you'd think that given her immune system is so immature that she would have come down with it by now? I got it Sunday night. Well here's hoping she's ok..... it will be an anxious few days from here. Its usual to come down with it 12-48 hours after contact, but can take up to 6 days. Anyway, DH has been a champion looking after HB and she has been good accepting him as her primary carer the past couple of days. Anyway, thanks for listening to my tale of woe.
Give your bumps a big rub for me. Stay safe wee ones.
no good newssac had only grown from 5mm to 8mm over the last 11 days. There was a very clear yolk and fetal pole but no heartbeat. He said given my signs of spotting I will just gradually build up until I have a heavy AF. He doesn't see the need for a D&C.
Dory yeah I usually have bad m/s from about 7 wks... I can only half a maxallon because a full one gives me a pounding headache and makes me feel really weird and totally out of it.
Good luck to you all.
hugs
Jude
