AngelicDragon - Very interesting.. I thought the line was feinter than it should have been, but I was using a different test.t DP told me it couldn't get much darker and I am paranoid lol.. This is coming from the man though that couldn't see the 2nd line on the 1st test I did.. IT WAS THERE although I had to squint to see it Lol..

wowee - Blessed - 12 week scan already! well done you and your little button. you are doing so well.

Laney - awesome news about your hcg! I am so jealous, even though it will be tough and having injections already. Glad to hear your boys are going so well. I am sorry that it was so tough for you and you cried.... but I am glad it passed too. I spent a bit of time crying too - it's nice to know I am not alone, and it's also good to know what to expect when I can join this thread. How is Graysons therapy going?

Judy - oh sweetie - I am so happy for you, and can only imagine how hard it is for you, and how remote it seems that your baby will come home. Just do what you need to do to get through..... we all find our own path.

LnD - good to see you here babe. Glad your lil bundle is doing well and it must feel good to get that confirmation.

Miss B - you and me both are stalking this thread, so desperate to be here in our own right. Glad DH is changing jobs, hope it makes it easier on you. How is that gorgeous little Cam going?

I was going pretty well with Hannah's sleep before she had a succession of illnesses... starting about 6 moths of age, and we fell into some bad habits - nurse to sleep, for most sleeps but especially at night. So after some soul searching, I decided to try to implement a "controlled crying" regime from tonight.

OMG, it was horrid and I felt so mean listening to her cry and not picking her up. But I was in the right frame of mind, as I had some determination, but was calm too. It took 45 mins of some very serious crying. But she put herself to sleep. Day sleeps are different, for instance for both of them today, she put herself to sleep after some happy chatting. Anyway, I am going to give it a few days and I hope that we can all get through this. I try to salve the guilt by saying to myself I am helping her learn the skills to self soothe and put herself to sleep. But it doesn't make it any easier....

Anyway, I am going to re read some of the book I was reading. I never thought I could endure the crying, as in the past I never have been able to. Some of the other mothers in my MG group have used the strategy and have said it worked. We can only hope.

Belly rubs to you beautiful mummas - and I'd welcome any tips or ideas on getting wee ones to sleep themselves without external props.

Congrats to all the newbies well I almost joined you all again. Had an "accident" and after a faint BFP on friday morning with 2nd MU I started spotting on friday night and now *TMI* I'm bleeding, bright red and cramping pretty bad. Sunday I was 12dpo going from when I first started to get O pains, and I had pink spotting round 5dpo.
Feeling slightly glad that it ended so soon as DD is only 10.5wks old, but also sad and disappointed that I don't get to grow another bub inside me And frustrated that my body could fail again even when we weren't trying.

Belly rubs to you all and sending out heaps and heaps of super sticky vibes!

Had a bit of a scare yesterday. All seems to be okay now. I have my GP/obgyn appointment today and another blood test tomorrow at king eddies.

Was rushed to the ED with sharp stabbing pains (lower than normal range of hcg - 895 @ 4w 6d pg... and red spotting yesterday morning. I was given an anti-d injection and had to be transferred because They didn't have radiology on at the hospital so decided to transfer me to another hospital 45 minutes away for a scan.

After a long wait I was scanned and told everything was relatively okay. Bubs is in the right spot (didn't expect to see a sac yet, as im only 5 weeks!) but we were told I have enlarged ovaries (possibly caused by the clomid I was on) that was causing the pain and bleeding in early pg with enlarged ovaries is somewhat normal?

Least I got to see bump!

Oh dear LysnDan, what a scare for you! Glad all is OK hun, hope those ovaries come down in size

Dory, just read your post properly about controlled crying (sorry sometime I skim through the posts when I have wee Cam at my anckles!) but I have tried that method too (well attempted it at least!) but after 5 minutes I gave in. I'm such a softie, not hard enough I'm afraid. Cam sort of learned to put himself to sleep eventually, it did take a while though. I used to cuddle him to sleep pretty much all the time, I figured one day he'll do it himself and he did. Now days, I'll only pick him up if he is beside himself, so I will leave him for 10-15 minutes first, but he doesn't fuss too much these days. You do what feels right for you hun, plenty of my friends did the controlled crying method and I had lectures left right and centre of how I should be doing it too, but it just wasn't for me. GL with it hun

Hi to everyone else too and big belly rubs to all

How scary Lysndan, glad all is ok.. If anyone didn't see my thread I had a scare too, started bleeding at work on Fri night, didn't want to wait in emergency all night so waited til next morning, went to docs and had a scan done, bubs fine but placenta is over the cervix which is what caused the bleed. So scary.. I am 10wks so still a long way to go and plenty of time for the placenta to move which I really hope it does. Button was waving on the U/S it was so good to see!

Dory - Sorry you are having to CC with Hannah. I hope it's all going ok. Not quite 12wks yet. Brisbane next Monday then scan the week after I would say..

blessedatlast, i have had bleeding in 3 of my pregnancies. When i was pregnant with Grayson the placenta was low and i had bleeding until week 30. It was so scary. I hope your placenta moves up!

Dory, i tried the controlled crying for about 30 minutes with Grayson and i just couldn't do it. Our bedtime routine is horrible because of my failure.

LysnDan, i have ovarian pain during early pregnancy too. I have had large cysts on my ovaries that grew to the size of a grapefruit. I now take progesterone every night until the 12 week mark to keep it under control.

JennaJayen, so sorry to hear your news.

jlk, i am excited that you are thinking about joining the group again! I had no idea that you were ready to add another to your family.

    AngelicDragon, how is everything?

AFM, i still have not been able to schedule my first scan. The doctor's office has been very slow! I think that i will call them again and bother them for an appt.

Blessed - but almost 12 weeks, so close you can touch it!

LnD - sorry about your scare, but good you got to see your little one! 5 weeks!

Laney - you sound so calm and in control with this preg, so far. Well done. Can't wait to hear your scan news. Don't beat yourself up with extra guilt. We each do what is right for us.

I just read an article on BB that now has me feeling so miserable with myself about controlled crying. I didn't leave Hannah to cry it out during our 2 sessions, but the article reinforced my own beliefs that I was abandoning her during the process. Anyway, we have sort of shelved it. We are still trying to stick to a routine so I am not feeding her to sleep though, which was the main aim of the the process. That seems to be working. But I won't be trying CC anymore. Like Miss B said, it's just not her style, and it's not mine either. I knew that before I started, so I am not sure why I did it.

Judy - how are you? Every moment is a blessing.

JLK - hugs to you and Tehya.

Beata - cant wait til you convince DH that a cycle should happen SOON! I like you would love to be in here in our own right rather than just stalking.

It's strange how the little things can be so hard. Last night we put Hannah's cot down to the lowest setting. I felt unbelievably sad ( shes not a little baby anymore and so much of my life has been about babies lately) and guilty ( she looked so low and far away). Crazy huh? But it had to be done, she sat herself up from her tummy yesterday. Anyway, got to be off, I am meeting my mum and aunt with downs syndrome today. They are coming to town for a medical appointment for my aunt, so I am going to take the chance to see them and I need to prepare.

Oh just before I go, Hannah and I went to visit Amelia, Nicholas and Sophie's garden the other day. It was just the best day. Took the picnic rug, sat in the shade of the two treee in their garden, the sky was blue and it was just amazing. Wish I didn't have to do it in the first place, but that's like all o us in here. WE have a weird new reality, those of us with forever babies.

Laney fantastic news about your scan hun.

I am leaving again, talk about a short stay this time. My GP did a complete check up and said my uterus felt bigger than 6 wks but cervix was closed and tight which was good then sent me for a scan. Half an hour of scan external and internal and scan showed nothing in the uterus at all except maybe a small pocket of fluid measuring less than 2mm. So with the cramping I am now having I expect it to start in a day or two. Another one bites the dust
Oh honey. Big hugs. I'm so so so sorry. Make sure you rest up. Cry when you need to. And if you need to chat to anyone, remember were all here for you Hun my inbox is always open xxxxx
