JLK - she is indeed a princess. Glad you're living the dream.... thanks for sharing your photo of precious Tehya - amazing to think she's weeks old already.
Just wanted to say hi to everyone! Nothing exciting to report from me which is a good thing I guessMade my booking appointment for my local private hospital yesterday (have to go in in a week and pay them $60 for the privilege!) and have my blood tests for the NT scan in 2 weeks. M/S still here but the nausea seems to be easing off a bit thankfully. I hate this waiting period between scans - keep thinking I'll get in there for my NT scan and bub will have died. Stupid thoughts... you girls know how it is!
Jlk - love your sig. What a beautiful cherub <3
Dory - how annoying about the carpal tunnel - will that go completely away once bub is born?
Laney - hows your DH's cousins bub doing?
Butterfly - good on you for buying that bassinette! Sounds like you have a good friend there too offering to hold it for you. Hope you can get all your appts in the future in the nicer clinic. I must admit that is one thing I certainly like about having a private ob is not having to sit in massive public waiting rooms! Although he is never on time at least its a nice room with the recent magazines to read lol.
Kam - Like the other girls, I never focus on EDD dates, just the birthday of my little man.
Hi to everyone else who hasn't posted for a while or who I might have missed in scrolling back through the page. Hope Friday is good to you all and you all have a great weekend!
JLK - she is indeed a princess. Glad you're living the dream.... thanks for sharing your photo of precious Tehya - amazing to think she's weeks old already.
cindee, I can't believe how high your BP is already! I thought that it was supposed to drop a bit in early pregnancy? Mine drops to 100/60 and pretty much stays that way until the last couple of weeks. I hope your doctors can get it under control.
jlk, I still feel like I am dreaming when I look at Grayson. So happy for you.
AngelLukesmum, I know exactly what you mean about the wait between scans. My wait is only a week and it is still hard. Bub does wiggle a lot so it helps a bit.
baby Ricky is doing okay, lots of ups and downs. He has a couple of good days and then he will have a couple of not so good days. I feel like I am bothering them but I do check up on him every couple of days. I wish there was more that I could do to help them through such a tough time.
dory, I get carpal tunnel while pregnant as well. It never gets really bad for me, just a bit annoying.
Hi to everyone else!
Not much going on here. I am starting to struggle a bit to keep up with Grayson, shopping, house cleaning, and doctor visits. We are having a very hot and humid summer and it is not being very kind to me. I know that I can get through these next 3 months with a smile!!
DH and I might be moving my office this weekend to make room for bub. The office needs to be painted before we can start another baby room. It is exciting and scary to be thinking about a room already!
Hi Ladies, It has become a bit quiet in here again!
I had my 10th ultrasound yesterday and bub is still looking good. I am just now starting to relax a bit. I don't use the HB doppler much anymore. He kicks enough that I know he is okay.
We did start the process of moving the office. It is not going to be easy to find a new home for all of the junk that has accumulated in there. At least it is started! I am getting excited about painting and buying more little blue things finally.
Dory, I just saw your ticker! 35 Weeks!
Laney _ I have been thinking of you ever since Sunday, knowing you had your scan coming up. I have been pretty busy or distracted as my mum was visiting and I had a few things on that just tired me out..... hence my abscence.
So glad your scan went well AND you're thinking about and have started sorting out a new room for this little bubs... it does make a difference when bubs kicking and movements become more regular, takes some of the worry out.
Cindee - that BP is high.... hope you feel ok. Is it that range before pregnancy?
AFM - went to the Dr yesterday as I had a cluster of symptoms consistent with pre-eclampsia. My BP is slightly elevated so am having a protein test of my urine tomorrow with another check up. DH says my mum visiting is enough to give me the symptoms.... although I uncharacteristically had a headache and was cranky. Both very unusual for me. Bubs had also been a bit quieter and I think that might have contributed to my mood too. Sadly I now have cankles ( swollen ankles).... My Mum got to hear bubs heartbeat yesterday, but she didn't seem that excited. Maybe my expectation of her reaction was out? For me it's one of the best sounds ever....
Has anyone used an epino before? it's a balloon thing that some people use to stretch the perenium in preparation for labour. I am not sure it's worth the expense -about $200 AUD, but wold be interested to hear what you thought of it.
Take care....
Dory, I hope everything is OK with your tests. It's really good that you're under such diligent observant eyes!! Don't worry about your mum not getting too excited hearing bub's HB. My mum was the same, and then after Cam was born she told me that she was STILL worried to the end that something would go wrong (w/o telling me of course as that would just freak me out!). When Cameron was born she was over the moon and back!!
I'm sooooooooo excited about your ticker hun, 35 weeks!! Woo hoo!!!!!!! So so proud of you darling, not long to go now!!!
Big hello to Laney, Jo, ButterflyForever and anyone else I missed. Glad that everyone is doing well!
Lots of hugs
B xxx.
Beata - thanks! I think that might be the case.... all good with my BP today... still have some of the other symptoms though... mostly annoyingly a headache. Oh well. I am a lot more crampy since Tues, so I am hoping bubs stays inside for another 2 weeks, so I can make September..... Love the new photo of Cam.
Could it be BH Dory????? Sometimes mine felt like period cramps. Fingers and toes crossed for bub to stay put for another 2 weeks at least. Hope your headache goes away soon hun, I get them all the time and sometimes I'm sooooo over it!!! xxxxx
B - I am not too worried about them, I have had them for ages, just an increase in the crampiness but not regular enough and not really increasing in intensity or frequency.... I guess I was just feeling glum with all the unusual stuff buzzing around... headache gone this evening... I don't normally get headaches at all, so to have one is unusual. Hey - I just noticed your sig.... hilarious Me OMG 40.....
Wow Dory, Cant beleive how close you are now![]()
Dory, I normally do not get headaches either. I get them on and off during pregnancy. I think that it is pretty normal. I have also been getting cramps from time to time. They have been getting more frequent over the past couple of weeksI hope everything looked good when you went to visit the doctor. You are almost there!!!
I have my growth scan tomorrow afternoon. I have my fingers crossed that bub is still measuring big!
Laney - all seems ok! Yippee. I am having a petrified day but seem to be working through it now. Can't wait for you to post after your scan.....
JLK - yes so close but so far.... Is that a new photo of Teyha? She is just beautiful.
Hey ladies, sorry have been quiet lately - not much interesting to report! I have my NT blood tests this week and my scan next week. It has been a while now between scans so I am really starting to feel the need for some reassurance... its hard at this point when its still too early for movement to help put your mind at ease! 9 days to go...
Laney, hope your scan went/goes well today.
Dory, 36 weeks WOW!!Oh and in regards to your question about the epi-no, I can't help you with that. I did do the "stretching"
exercises they recommend but not sure if it helped or not as I still needed a couple of stitches.
Hi to all you other lovely ladies, hope everything is going well with everyone x
AngelLukesum - I so understand where you are coming from.... it is such a long time between scans and no reassurance of baby moving... I am uncomfortable about the whole idea of the manual massage and the epi no. So I can understand your blushing smiley faces.
Laney- thinking of you.
Hi to everyone else. I seem to have won a mini battle with my demons for the moment. What a relief. Hope you're well.
AngelLukesmum, only 9 days to wait. I will be thinking of you
dory, glad everything went well at your Ob appt. Do you have a day yet when thay will be taking out your stitch?
Hi to everyone else!
My ultrasound went well. bub is still in the 65th percentile!!!!We will just keep watching and make sure that he continues to grow well. I have to get my GD test at some point this week. I am not looking forward to it. I have a hard time drinking the sugar drink and keeping it down
![]()
Laney - good news about bubs.... our little bundle is 65th percentile too. It's a bugger you have trouble drinking the glucose drink and keeping it down. Makes it something to dread. If it comes up again, do you have to drink more? When I had an upper GI series ( aka barium meal... I know which one sounds better) I was told whatever came out had to be put back in. Urgh. Luckily for me it didn't, but when they take the series of x rays after the contrast has been ingested, the bench is moved around a lot and it's very uncomfortable... so much so I thought I would have to replenish. Fortunately I don't find the glucose drinks too bad. I've had 3 (glucose tol tests) this year, so I am lucky I am not affected.
I don't have a date yet, for the magical stitch to be removed, but my obs come back from holidays Monday and if bubs is still snug we'll set a date. That's the weird thing for me at the mo, if I go into labour, I have to go to the hossy straight away so the stitch can be dealt with.... so I am a little hyper vigilant about possible labour signs. I felt nauseated early this morning and kept thinking, is this labour? Pretty much as I have been doing the whole preg, but it's even more intense now.
Good luck with your GD test. I hope you come through ok.
I'm hiding away at the moment still reading just don't gave the emotinal energy to post.. Just have to say OMG dory you are almost there!! You have been such an inspiration to me through the last 11 or so months I have been on bb. The way you have delt with everything is awesome!! I can't beleive that uou are going to be holding you beautiful little bub so soon!! Anyway just wanted you to know how proud I am of you xxxxxx
