dory, spring is nice here! Especially after a long, cold, and snowy winter. We are finally able to get out of the house again. Michigan is a bit colder and spring starts a bit later there.
I know how difficult these next couple of weeks are going to be for you. :hug: Rest, rest, rest! DH should be making dinner and bringing it to you.

Charlie, your hcg levels sound great! Good luck with your scan next week. The first trimester does kind of drag on a bit. By the time you are ready to have bub you will be wondering where the time has gone.

Kam, it is very difficult when you reach those important milestones in your pregnancy. I hope the scan next week gives you some comfort. Are your doctors going to give you some extra scans or appts over the next couple of weeks? Bub having some extra attention might help calm your nervous.

cmeglles, welcome to our group. I am very sorry that you have had to find us but there are a bunch of very supportive ladies in here. Do you have a dating scan scheduled?

not much going on here. I am just waiting for my scan on monday. After this scan I know that my anxiety levels are going to go through the roof. The 17 week scan has been the one where problems have started to appear. In 4 weeks we will have a better idea of how this bub is doing and if we are going to be able to bring him/her home.

Well we're almost there...just get through tonight...leave home at 5am to be admitted at 6.30am and we're the first c section of the day...will text BG who will post a BA for us...but probably won't be till late as we still haven't decided on names lol!!!

Thank you all so much for your prayers, love and support...still praying that bub will be all ok and safely in our arms tomorrow morning...couldn't have got through the emotional rollercoaster without you.

Ellie - you have no idea how excited I was to see there was a post from you, as I was a day ahead of myself. Never mind! I have tears in my eyes and I am so excited with anticipation and at the same time nervous for you. I know I will not have any sense of relief until I am holding an earthside bubs in my arms, so understand your feelings totally. You should be through to the other side of your caesar. now. Hope DH didn't faint!

I hope you are recovering well and these precious moments are all you hoped them to be. Dont worry about names - the right name will come, just get through the important bit first! My love to you and your family.

Girls, reading through your posts it breaks my heart that you're feeling so anxious going through your pg. I remember what it was like for me, sometimes it was pretty stressful. But I hung in there, and I know that you will get there too. Take one day at a time, and every day remind yourself how well you are doing, and how truly blessed you are to have those precious bubbas in your bellies. Make every day special, and try to enjoy your pg as hard as it is to do. When the bubbas arrive, you'll miss your bellies and the little kiscks and hiccups!! You can do it girls, I know you can. Thinking of you all and sending you massive hugs.

Just a quick post from hossy...all going great...dream baby...sleeping and eating like a champion...one rough night before milk came in she was just sooooo hungry!!! In absolute bliss today with DD1 asleep in pram DH asleep on bed and DD2 asleep in cot...one big happy family...thank goodness we got the big flash room!!! WIll be back later with details.

AFM - scan is Wednesday. Terrified. Can't believe how much I took for granted last time. It's funny but I though that everything would feel a bit better after my BFP, instead it seems to have bought everything that happened with my beautiful angel right back up to the surface. Hopefully seeing a little bean with a healthy heartbeat will help!!

Hi Everyone! Thanks for thinking of me!

Everything looked good today. Baby was measuring big! Looks like baby is going to be a boy, not 100% positive yet. This is the time that we found out that Grayson was a boy though. I have my next scan on June 14th. I feel like I am going to be a nervous wreck for that one. I was already in tears on the way to this scan. One day at a time.

Charlie, good luck with your scan hun. It is going to be a long road to your 20 week scan. I hope at that point you are able to relax a tiny bit and enjoy being pregnant.

Ellie, you sound so happy! Congratulations again hun.

mo4, I hope that you are doing okay and that the bleeding has stopped. Pop in and let us know how you are.

Laney - awesome! I am so happy for you. Ah a little mystery for you still about whether you have a pink or blue bundle! I know all too well your anxiety. I was pretty anxious too before each scan, and only realised just how much so, by the fact I had a nervous tum beforehand, and by just how much I cried and felt relieved at the end. I also get pretty anxious before every obstetrician's appointment - I have an appointment at least every two weeks, so I get some real peaks in my anxiety levels regularly! And I even like my obstetrician and the appointments are comfortable. Crazy times. 14 June seems so close! But I know for you each day probably feels like an eternity.

Mo4 - how are you doing? Thinking of you and sending you lots of love & hugs.

Cemgelles - how are you doing? You must be 6 weeks by now? I still think of you as berumda girl.... I know that's cheeky.

Charli - You might surprise yourself and get the courage up before week 30! I never thought I would actually ever do it, but finally realised I also needed to try to embrace the present and not be too scared of it. But it was pretty difficult and it took me over 6 weeks from the time I first became open to the idea to the time I actually put it into effect. When is your scan? I can't remember... Has Crumpet dropped by in here at all?

Beata - how are you and your gorgeous boy doing?

Hiya to anyone I have missed. I am feeling a little spaced out today.

Not much doing here. A friend who has going to visit today has cancelled because she is not feeling well. It's nice to be thought of, but I was looking forwawrd to cathcing up. Oh well next week... Tomorrow will be a milestone for me. I am very excited actually and not yet as nervous as I expected. I have a good feeling about this journey today..... Take care all. Be strong, one day at a time.

CharlieB - Thanks for asking, I guess I'm ok, as good as can be expected at least, and your right I did mention I had a scan today. A fetal growth and wellbeing U/S and as fair as they could see everything looked ok. She has a heart rate of 130 today and is still measuring big (by 5 days this time) and didn't like being poked by the U/S thingy, she kept kicking it back lol. Good Luck with your U/S tomorrow.

Laney - I'm glad to hear you're U/S went well, not long until your next one either.

dory - aren't the good days just extra good, I hope your enjoying that good feeling. I hope I don't offend by asking but what milestone is tomorrow? Is this baby going to be the same age as Amelia tomorrow?

As I mentioned above I had a U/S today and even though everything was fine I keep thinking it only takes one day, hell probably not even that long, for something to go wrong. One day Isabel was fine the next day she was gone, how do I know this baby is still going to be ok tomorrow? It scares me so much.

Hi Everyone!!

So sorry I have been so MIA … we have done the big move! Thank god for mums!! MY wonderful mummy came down to help and did 99% of the cleaning and organising on the packing end! I had lots of help too from my friends in Corryong- which made it all the sadder to leave knowing I was leaving such good people!! We got a big truck and moved it all in one go which was great! And we are all settled in the new house- well as settled as we can be- I still have lots of unpacking to do- and the house is bigger- so I am going to be checking out some garage sales for some extra furniture to help fill it up!!

On the baby front- all is looking great there, I am going to the antenatal clinic at Calvary Hospital- I saw the dr today- bubs is head down but not engaged yet. I did have a little scare with a really bad case of thrush a few weeks ago- but some antibiotics helped that and all is good now. I see the midwife in two weeks for my last anti-D injection, then the Dr again two weeks after that to book in for the csection!!

As for organising things here.. I got given a MASSIVE amount of girls clothes from a friend in Corryong- we were able to do a swap as I was having a girl and her a boy – and we were both calling it quits after this. She had two girls already though- and I thought I had done well by what I gave her- until I picked up what she had for me!!! My daughter will be dressed for YEARS to come!!! I just have to sort through it all!! It’s time to wash the newborn things, and I actually bought nappies the other day!! I had been pretty much putting off all organising until the move- and well the day I go here I went into “Baby is Coming over drive!!” My cousin is coming over tomorrow to help me set up the nursery (she will be in the bassinette in our room to start with though) and to help go through all the clothes!!

I am now on the look out for a playgroup- and I have found a thread here for a monthly meet up here in Canberra that’s happening next week I think- so that should be good!!

For now I have dinner cooking and Shane is watching some playschool- so I thought I better say hi!! Sorry no chance of personals today- I will try to get back into gear soon!!

kam, i feel your fears, nothing can tell us its going to be ok, but just do what you can to get yourself through, my mantra in my first subs pg was to not focus on the end or what can go wrong, but to do something each day to get me to the good outcome. i am just coming up to the week i lost my first and i am going to do something every day to look after myself and get this boy here, i have a massage booked and a few other things to keep me busy.

afm, its official we have sold our house, settling on this bubs due date (oh ohhhhhhh) and purchased a new place which is in the country on 10 acres. just hoping my ob goes with his plan of induction at 38 weeks, but wont know til 37 weeks when he's booking me in for. the new place doesn't settle til end of july so we have to crash with my parents for five weeks but thats ok, hoping mum wont mind hleping me out with the hopeful new arrival. i've calmed down a little since my last meltdown, just focusing on my next growth scan next thursday and hoping this boy has grown a bit more, people have been commenting that i've grown in the last few weeks but i can't see it, but i really hope this boy has. i've had two ctg's since i last posted and they were great, thank goodness we'll have one each week for the next few weeks. i've finally finished work and am taking this week to catch up and rest up before i tackle packing the house up for a move. anyway sorry for my babbling i'll try but just wanted to pop in and say hello and bellyrubs to all

Hi all - sorry just a really quick one for me today. Unexpected guests and a dinner party tonight I have to go get glammed up for. Ha!

My milestone yesterday ( and today) is "the furtherest ever into a pregnancy I have ever been" but I liked the pregnancy personal best (PB) too. The good days are good and they are precious because, we all know from hard experience we don't know what's around the corner, which to me makes each day evern more precious and worth celebrating.

Anyway, hopefully tomorrow I can actually get some time in to catch up. I don't like these only "me posts".

klee, thank you for your kind words. I know that you must be getting a bit nervous too as you reach the week mark that you lost little Phoebe. :hug: I feel like I am doing okay most days. Maybe even a little bit better than i did with Grayson at this time. I still find myself having more and more of "those" moments when I can't stop the tears. Shelby's angel day is a couple of days away then Grayson B-day and shortly after is Parker's angel day. All this right around the time that we will find out how this bub is growing!
I am keeping my fingers crossed that your little guy has grown nice and big for thursday!
10 acres sounds so nice! Just think of how much fun your two boys are going to have running around in the country.

jlk, you are getting really close now hun! I wish that I could tell you that the crazy lady will leave you before bub arrives. She was with me for the long haul. My high risk OB always told me that if I can get to 32 weeks with an average or above average sized bub then I will have a healthy baby in my arms.

after 22 days of bleeding i have had 3 days with no blood!! i am so releived to go to the loo and not see blood!!!
i have my 12 week scan next thursday kinda looking forward to it but stressing about it too..

Klee – congrats on your “tree change”. Impossible timing though. I am sure your mum will only be too happy to help. I hope that your scan next Thursday goes well. Have everything crossed for you. I hope that was the last of the meltdowns for you..... keeping you in my thoughts.

Cmgelles – you've gone a bit quiet – are you ok?

Charli – oh sweetie. The BFP is the start of a a journey that is far more harrowing than the TCC journey. But the one thing that is different, is that right at this moment, you have your miracle baby growing stronger and being nutured inside you. That is truly the most amazing blessing. That's the thought to hold on to, if you can. For me at least that thought made those early days more manageable, although the fear is palpable and paralysing. But we all have to find our way through. Certainly in a pregnancy after loss, we take nothing for granted. But just as much as we are scared that history will repeat, we should also hold onto to hope that this baby will be delivered safely into our arms and be taken home to be parented. You will be anxious leading up to your scans and the milestones. Hoping the scan brings you some much deserved reassurance. I have every faith in you and your bubs.

Laney – gosh you have a lot of significant dates approaching. Do you have a plan for trying to get through them? Sending you my love.

AFM – not too much going on. Went to a funeral today. A person involved with the sporting association I have been involved in. The whole experience was weird – reminded me of the funerals of each of my angels, which then made me feel a bit guilty for thinking about myself. Then baby was moving vigorously – a first for me when I sitting up, but that was ironic. Being so happy for the movements of the life I nuture inside whilst also remembering the person who the service was for. There were some beautiful singing, which is always uplifting. I was exhausted physically from the service, and was happy to get home to my bed. Have a good weekend. Take care. Belly rubs.

Good on you for planning some awesome distractions though!! Pampering is a lovely idea!!! After calling you crazy for your move- once it is all over- it hasnt been too bad- and you will be sooo happy surrounded by wide open spaces tree's and Jo will love it too!! And on the sneaky side- you get loads of help and no one lets you clean or move anything when your preg- and you will be the same having just had bubs!!

Im sorry you had to attend a funeral- i think its normal for anyone with a life growing inside them to feel slightly weird while trying to concentrate on death. Its kind of hard to ignore the wiggles and not think about the irony. The way i see it- is that life and death is a cycle, so to have life there must be death- the two are so intertwined- (as we all know REALLY well) When is you rnext check up or scan??

Starbright - thankyou for your kinds words... they helped. Hoped breakfast time wasn't too chaotic. How is Shane going? Hard to believe he's not that far away from the big '2'. My niece popped around the other day and for various reasons I hadn't seen her or her kids ( my great nephew and niece) for about 8 months. Her little girl was 10 months last time I saw her and is now a cut little toddler aged 18 months. Her little boy was just as cute and talkative as ever. I imagine that Shane is just as cute as a button. How is he coping with your expanded bellly?

I have scheduled appointments with my ob every two weeks - the last one was Wednesday last week and the next one Wednesday next week 2nd June. However as I am feeling in need of reassurance, I have an appointment scheduled for tomorrow. Was hoping for today, but can manage with tomorrow. Today is my obs caesar/procedure day, so he's usually in theatre until later in the arvo. I have a friend coming to visit, and didn't want to put her off. So tommorrow it is for a variety of reasons. No more scans booked, but am going to arrange a non diagnostic scan, again for reassurance.

On a much funnier note, we took all 3 cats to the vet for their annual check up and vaccination on Saturday. OMG it was hilarious. The 3 of them all yowled at the tops of their lungs as soon as they were in the travel crates and continued for the 30 mins car trip and THEN in the waiting room whilst we waited about 15-20 mins. They scared one cat into the back of her crate, and instigated another two to start up a racket. Strangely, they were quiet during the consult, but then as soon as they were out of the consult room the racket started again and continued all the way home. When we were in the waiting room, everyone was laughing at them. My mum says better than frowning or telling us off. We got a recording of the cacaphony and will email it to some of our cat lover friends, who might understand. I told DH it was good practice for when baby is crying in the car or in public....fur babies, wouldn't b e without them....

dory- congrats on getting this far! I am so proud of you! You can totally think of me as bermuda girl....I am pretty suure this baby was conceived in Bermuda so I find myself addressing the little one as Bermuda baby! hehe. I loved your cat story.....so funny!

Wow- it seems so far away for me!

MO4- wow the bleeding has stopped! Hooray! My last pregnancy i had a subchorionic hematoma....and I bled for almost 10 weeks....it was SO nice to have it done.....on the downside witht his pregnancy I keep waiting for the bleeding any day.

Charlie B- when is your due date? It will be neat to see how close we end up. I think mine is January 8th.

Klee and starbright- How are you doing?

Klee- closing on your due date! Wow! I hope your DH is a good decorator! Best of luck to you in your new house and a HUGE congrats!

Beata- I cannot believe Cameron is already 10 weeks old! Wow! I guess time flies!

Laney- How are you doing? Do you have some apts before June 14 to at let you listen to the little heart? Does that help?

AFM- I am doing really well- a few nightmares but overall really well. I am not bleeding which is HUGE for me right now, and really helps with my peace of mind. I am also really not dealing with too much m/s which I really can't complain about- a little nausea here and there is far better than throwing up every day which was what I expected. I am headed into my first doctors apt tomorrow. No scans or bloodwork or anything scheduled yet......Any advice on talking about cerclage? I have the option, but they really don't know if cervical opening caused the infection that they think led to my miscarriage ugh I hate that term) or vice versa.

cmeglles, good luck with your appt. Glad you don't have too much m/s. I have had it bad twice and hardly anything twice.
Thanks for asking about me. I don't have any appts until the 14th :( I could have if I really needed it but I have a home doppler. I can hear bubs heartbeat anytime I need to (which is a lot the past week or so). The worry is really starting to get to me now. The scan on the 14th is a big one for me.

SB, thanks hun. It was a very difficult day for me. I tried to stay really really busy all day. It was such a bad idea. I was so tired out by the end of the day and Grayson was soooo over tired that we both had a bit of a melt down. We both feel a bit better now after a good sleep. I think the worry about this pregnancy is getting bad. If I listen with the doppler and down hear little kicks as well as the heart beat I worry....pretty much every little thing makes me worry right now.

laney - hugs and thoughts to you for shelby's anniversary. its so difficult to know what to do to celebrate our angels, if you do too much it gets on top of you and if you do too little it does too, thinking you haven't done enough to remember them, wish there was some perfect medium to remember our precious angels, but so glad a good sleep was the answer for you both. and wow on grayson turning 1 next week, what a milestone.
dory - your cat story was hilarious, sounds like you've got a couple of trouble makers on your hands, what better than to have a good laugh though, nice work furbabies

AFM - had a scan yesterday and now bubs is apparently a big baby pmsl, can't win, last time he was small, now big, oh well guess all that good eating has helped him and me :) he's not overly huge but should be about the same size as ds was when he was born. I'll get my date next wednesday, most likely for the following week, but going to try and keep it hush hush as I don't like many people knowing as it puts an expectation in their mind. as far as most of my friends are concerned, i still have a month to go, so shhhh everyone lol. apart from that i have a cold and am on antibiotics so trying to rest up as much as i can. be back in a couple of days, love to you beautiful girls

Cmeggles - I just wanted to reply to your query about a cerclage. I wrote a really long response and lost it. Blah. I would recommend you do it. For me, there was no conclusive evidence to suggest the cervix was the issue and I got a second opinion about it. On balance I decided to do it, despite the risks, and it made a big difference to how I felt emotionally and physically. I didn't expect to feel that way. I don't feel as vulnernable as I did before having it. Once its in you can't feel it. There is a forum site for cerclage. I will post it separately as well as some more info. I just don't have the will to write it all out again just now.

How did your appointment go?

AFM - I have been MIA caring for my fur baby. His procedure went really well and he recovered really well too. I was an anxious mess and have been fussing over him these past few days - just making sure he didn't have an adverse reaction to the anaesthetic. He is back to his spunky bold self and I am feeling more robust again too. As a result however I need to catch up. Will write some more when I have caught up.

well i had a scan yesterday and bub is doing wonderful! measuring a week ahead of the date they gave me ( that was a week behind the date i told them fancy that hey lol) but the little sweet pea was kicking around like crazy and is doing really well..
i keep telling myself that chances of the samething happening again are like getting hit by lightning twice but it is still really hard as i am sure all of you are well aware! Just have to keep my fingers crossed and take one day at a time!
anyway i hope you lovely ladies are all doing well!!!

Mo4- I am glad that your scan went well. So funny that you were right on with your dates originally. I hope you can keep those nerves in check.....Lightning never strikes twice in the same place, but I totally know what you mean!

Dory- thanks for the advice, I definitely am leaning towards the cerclage....we are currently taking a 'watchful waiting' approach which could change anytime I feel like I need to. I am so glad your furbaby is up and back to normal. One of my puppies had a tumor removed on her ear this winter and it was terrible. They really are so much part of the family.

Klee- best of luck with your date this week! How exciting!Glad the bub is measuring about perfect now. Let us know when your date is!

Laney- the 14th is slowly approaching. I am counting down for you. It is nice to hear your thoughts about the doppler. We are thinking of getting one, but I keep weighing the pros and cons.....plus it looks like I am going to be in the doctors office all the time, so maybe I could get it doen a bunch there? I dunno. Lots of decisions to make. How are you doing with the waiting?

AFM- Apt went GREAT! I have such confidence in my MFM docs. I had no exam done or anything, but we have a plan to manage this pregnancy and that is HUGE for me. Starting at 12 weeks they will be monitoring my cervical length and if it shortens at all or gets the least bit under 3cm then I will have a cerclage done. Also between 16-20 weeks I will be getting weekly shots of progesterone to prevent pre-term birth.....So we are kinda trying a variety of things since my previous loss was such a mystery. If I can prevent infection somehow that will get at all of my worries! Anyways we made a schedule for a scan and an exam on the 9th for dating (and piece of mind for me)

cmeglles, So glad to read that your appt. went well and that you feel comfortable with you MFM doctors.
I am still uncertain if if the doppler is a good idea. I think for me, it does more good than bad. Really....i don't know which was worse....the shock and horror of finding out that we lost Parker at my 22 week scan or finding out with my DH at home that we lost Shelby because we couldn't find her HB with the doppler. I never had trouble finding Grayson's HB after 14 or 15 weeks. After I started to feel him move I didn't need to use it anymore unless he was very quiet one day. If you are visiting the doctor often you probably don't need one...unless you are a total crazy lady like me :)
The waiting is getting harder. I thought that it would be a tiny bit easier this time around, it isn't.

mo4, congrats on a great scan. I hope things get a tiny bit easier for you now.

AFM, I still have 12 days to wait for my scan...I am in a state of constant worry now. DH isn't really giving me much support and I am feeling pretty alone right now. I really thought that this was going to be easier this time around. I am crossing off one day at a time. My mom and Grandma are coming for a visit in a couple of days, for Grayson's party. I think that will be a much needed distraction.

KAM - well done girl. A pregnancy personal best every day now.... relish those milestones. I am so proud of you. Understandable to be worried about the future.....

Cmeggles - very glad you have a plan you are happy with and maternal fetal medicine dr who you are developing a relationship with. You're welcome on the info. It was one of the hardest decisions I have made in this journey and I really agonised over it, for a long time, even though I had discussed it immediately following Sophie - a whole 7 months between then and when I got it done. Maybe too long to be thinking about it? Have you discussed steroid injections after 24 weeks which will assist in the baby's lung development? Specifically it speeds up the surfactant development which helps bubs if bubs is prem. Just glad to hear you have confidence in your plan and medical team. it really does help.

About the doppler - as I go to see the Dr every 2 weeks at least, I decided not to get one. Although the thought was initiallyappealing. My ob had trouble finding bubs heartbeat in some of our earlier consults, and had I been at home I would have freaked out. But having the ob there, gently reassuring me and quietly confident helped me. I can go to see m ob any time I get worried, so for me that is a much better option. I would rather get any news from him and have him there to support me and develop a plan, rather than let my worst fears and terrors take hold with me all by myself. Now, bubs kicks with much more regularity but my ability to detect them all can be sporadic. The ob says it can be like that right up to 28 weeks. Just depends on how much room bubs has.

Klee - that's awesome - how are you going? Any news?

Laney - oh sweetie. It's such a tough time for both you and DH. Hard for you both. I am so sad that you are feeling alone. That is a really lonely place to be. I know it doesn't seem like it when you're in that place, but you are worthy, and you a loved, a great deal by those near and far. Some are just to silly to show you how much.

What sort of party are you planning for Grayson? A aussie ex pat friend of mine made a "magic" theme cake for her 6 yr old and it is amazing. Magicians hat upturned with a white rabbit emerging from the hat. I don't think I could do that at all. But maybe its just practice? I like cup cakes ( 0r patty cakes)... here I go again off on a food tangent. I think I am obsessed.

Mo4 - well done on the scan. it's so ironic that the dates you originally gave ended up being the "correct" ones. Just goes to show that babies really do develop at their own pace... are you feeling more assured or confident?

JLK - in fact its a good sign, I reckon, not to feel the need to post. I have felt a bit more like that lately, things seem just to be going well, so even though I read, I don't post. So well done. Hope you stay happy and healthy... take care.

AFM - I am like KAM, every day since about 2 weeks ago is the most pregnant I have ever been! So each day is truly a celebration. Next week we are taking cat #2 in for a tooth extraction so no doubt from Tuesday on I will be distracted by worry and fussing over my precious little fur ball. I am havinf a hard time atm and i cant even pin point why..
i jjust feel the need to cry and i am stressing so bad...i thought the good scan wouls re asure me but it didnt... we had a great scan with Kyarna at 16 weeks then went back 2 weeks later and she was gone... arghhh i just want to be happy and excited about this!

M04 - hang in there... it is tough... but you can do it and so can sweet pea.
