mo4, I am in the same boat as you. Having a really tough time atm. We can get through this.

dory, i just made cupcakes for Grayson's B-Day. He doesn't care for cake just yet so I didn't do much. We are having a family party on Sunday. My MIL is decorating with sponge Bob stuff and getting a Sponge Bob icecream cake. Too bad I can't eat any dairy while pregnant :(

AFM, this anterior placenta is driving me crazy. I could feel Grayson kicking at least once a day by 15 weeks. I think I felt a little something a week ago but now nothing.
SB, When did you start to feel little kicks?
Well, I better get back to cleaning. My mom and Gram are coming for a visit tomorrow. Should be a nice distraction before my scan. Oh yeah, and DH and I have been married for 4 years today. We are going to try to go out to eat. That is if Grayson agrees to a nap.

Oh Laney- i hear your pain on the anterior placenta.. :hug: and i hate to be the bearer of bad news- but it wasnt til about 20-ish weeks that i started getting some real movements.

It was soooooooo hard during that time- (even harder for you i will imagine) coz like you with Shane i felt early movements- and even with Zahra- because the placenta wasnt low i felt movements earleir with her too- but this time it was a lowish anterior placenta which meant she was hidden until she moved up the womb. It was really frustrating!!

On the good news side though- i get loads of wriggles now- and they are so lovely!! I would just reccomend lots of extra checkups and appts for your own peace of mind until you feel bubs- coz it is going to do your head in!!! :hug:

SB, thanks, I guess! I do feel a bit better knowing that you didn't feel much of anything at this time. My placenta is perfectly placed right in the middle front. ugh
I will have lots of appts starting after this next scan. I have been using my home doppler a BIT more than necessary lately so I know that it is time for more visits. They are just really hard with Grayson. He is very active and doesn't like waiting rooms.

Laney - how did Graysons party go? And the cleaning? Its tough when whilst you feel you need more appointments for reassurance, at the same time its a bit hectic with Grayson.... if you have an Obstetrician that you see regularly, can you make an arrangement with them that you will call before your appointment to see whether the Ob is running on time or not? And then you can either be at home if you live close or outside or even in the car and then you can go in when you know there's not too much of a wait? My Ob has a kiddies play area, but he also doesn't mind kids making a fuss and thankfully hardly ever runs really late, or if he is his receptionist calls. Anyway, hope you get on top of your anxiety, at leat some of the time.

M04 - I hope you are feeling better. I haven't had an anterior or low placenta, but I imagine it would make it even harder not being able to feel bubs move, I know it certainly has helped me quell some of my anxiety. But as with all things, it does create a whole host of other concerns....

Starbright - how are you going? 35 weeks is awesome. Thinking of you.... are you huge and uncomfortable? I am really looking forward to that!

AFM - not much going on here. Just being grateful for each day. Have to take #2 furbaby into the vet this Tuesday for a tooth extraction. No doubt I will be worried, but hopefully not as much as last time, but if I am so be it. I got so anxious last time about the cat I went to see the obstetrician as my anxiety flowed over to bubs. At least I could get some reassurance about bubs whilst I was waiting for the cat to come home....

laney - how was graysons birthday? did he have a lovely day? i had teh placenta at the front too this time, and i didn't feel anything til the day before 21 weeks and then didn't really get daily movements til 25 weeks. i hope your placenta doesn't cause you more stress than you need!

dory - isn't it funny was causes us to get overwhelmed and nervous, you'd think a trip to the vet would be nothing, but unfortunately for us, the 'normalest' (lol is that even a word) of things gets to us.

hi to everyone, and belly rubs to all, sorry this is such a short post, but i've barely had any me time in the last week, my ds got knocked about with hand, foot and mouth disease, he's been very clingy to me, added on top of trying to everything sorted in the house for the move. have been booked in, for later this week, i wont share the date, cause it takes my body a bit to get started with induction, and i'm usually a day or two more than the date i'm given, but i'll get sb to post for me, if she doesn't go into labour first, to let you girls know. feeling quite anxious cause we're at the time we lost dd, but we're nearly there, one foot in front of the other.

Laney.. i know what you mean about having to take a toddler to appts!! It is a huge hassel!! I forgot the pram one day too- and i was on my own- NOT FUN!!! Just keep using your doppler and do what you can do- and i guess just be reassured to know your not the only one who has had this little challange- i look at things in a funny way- and in a way i see it as a good thing now that i had the same problem and so did klee- coz it means you have some reassurance now, anything to help!! xoxox I hope Grayson had a fabulous day!

Dory... YUP i am huge and very uncomfy!! Getting loads of wriggles though and a few funny feeling headbutts to the cervix lol- its funny as much as some parts of the tail end of pregnancy are horrid (headaches, backaches feeling like a whale.....) some of it i really like- i like the way bits of her body push my belly out when she wriggles and how i swear i can feel her little fingers tickling me from the inside!! I saw the physio through the antenatal centre at the hospital and he has hooked me up with a pregnancy belt to help my pelvis and my back- it has made a huge difference!!

My biggest complaint at the moment is heart burn/reflux!!! I have tablets to take- but i left all my script/repeats at the chemist at Corryong and i have ran out and forgot to ask the mw at my appt for a script- so i am going to try to go to the chemist and see if they can get Corryong pharmacy to fax my script so i can get some- coz at the moment i am eating packets of rennies and i dont think its doing my tummy any good!! I also drink litres of milk- but i still end up waking up at night with really painful heartburn!! Oh and for some reason headaches have started- i dont usually get headaches at all- but the last few days i have had a throbbing headache- i am such a grump!!!! Not long to go now and i will have a whole new list of complaints lol.. no sleep, sore boobies, havent had a shower :ROFL: Ahhhhhh, sooon!!

I have been doing lots of baby stuff washing too- (and a bit of shopping- best and less were having a special so i went a little nuts with a laybuy!! Heehee) i have done all the blankets and wraps and sheets and all the tiny clothes, this week i will do the 000 stuff and hopefully this week we are getting some drawers finaly (fingers crossed DH isnt working this sat so we can actually go!!) I was going to wait til i got the drawers to wash the clothes, but it was takingt oo long for my liking- so they will have to go back in the box then we get the drawers i can put them right in!! Then all i need to organise is a new car seat for DS (or a new one for DD, still havent decided yet) and i think we are ready!!

klee, I can't wait to read your news. Not long to wait! I hope DS is feeling better by the time his little brother comes home. I hope your induction moves along faster for you this time around.

SB, Sounds like thigs are starting to happen for you too! If I remember your DS came a bit earlier than expected too. I hope you can find something to help with your reflux, I never did. I also get headaches while pregnant. I never get them when not pregnant. I have them now for a week on and off.
It does help a lot to know that you and klee didn't feel very much early. I try to stay awake for a little while after I get into bed....I keep hoping that i just might feel something.

dory, How are you doing? I hope your furbaby did okay.

AFM, Grayson's party went well. It was nice to celebrate with lots of family and friends. It was a bit too much for Grayson. He wanted to play with the big kids but kept getting hurt. He also started to bite the big kids to get attention :( Long day with no naps but fun.

My Mom and Gram were visiting for a few days. They just left and the house feels empty already. I hate living 5 hours away from family. They really helped me stay busy for the past few days. No real time to worry about my upcoming ultrasound.

Laney... Try laying on your side- that was where i felt the first movements- i found laying down putting Shane to bed i would feel movements- and i was always on my side- not sure if it was a co-incidence or not- but give it a go!

Yep- i am getting some good pains and heavy feelings- a little bit different to with Shane- with him it was all in the back- but this time they are all around the belly. Nothing to get to excited about- this went on for a few weeks with Shane- but nice to know things are starting! And yes- i tend to go early (well with Zahra my early labour was induced by an abruption- but i still reckon i went into labour!) and yeah Shane came two and a half weeks early. My sister is the opposite- she has gone over due every time with her kids and had to be induced twice! My body just goes- is it time- ok- get'em out!!

Just decided to introduce myself:

got a +ve on 30th May, EDD: 8th Feb.

I have been ttc for 11 months, did Acu/TCM, naturopath tonic and other vits, so will be glad to stop all that.

Lost my daughter back in Feb 2009 at 41 weeks, so this is a high risk preg for me, will be delivering def by 37 weeks by c-section this time.

It was a big shock to me this month, I had no idea, was shaking so badly when a second line came up on the test. I was so laid back in the first half of the cycle, decided not to chart and kept forgetting what cycle day I was on. I only charted in the second half of the cycle, cos my temps went all weird on me, I was worried that the herbal tonic the Naturopath gave me had thrown out my hormones completely.
Didn't really have any major symptoms in the tww, no real cramps for the first 10 days and no nausea. Had terrible leg and foot cramps though, and sensitive to smells (nearly threw up when I passed the butchers and when my little one had been for a poo and hadn't flushed the loo, sorry ).

Had a bit of spotting for a few days, so worried a little.

Had hcg results over the last few days, that seem quite high:

14 dpo (4 weeks): 353
20 dpo (4 weeks and 6 days): 6287
22 dpo (5 weeks and 1 day): 15817 :o

Saw the high risk Ob a couple of days ago, and will see him again on Wed, I will be well looked after, but it is going to be a anxious journey.

Will likely have a Premmie, so got that worry as well,

I usually have a little spotting right after I get a bfp. Your hcg levels look great!



3 more days until my scan....i am starting to go crazy!!! Good thing we have lots to do this weekend! I have never wanted a weekend to fly by as badly as this one.

All looked good today!!! He was measuring a few days ahead :) I thought that I was going to have a panic attack walking into the ultrasound room and I couldn't hold back the tears. Not getting much sleep last night didn't help. I go back in 2 weeks and I have to see my MFM doctor in 3 weeks. We are not out of the woods yet but we're off to a good start.

I think that I have been feeling a few movements...nothing strong enough to make me say that it is bub for sure. I had a nice glass of ice cold water and felt something.

YaY!! Thats great news laney!!! Oh did i miss something.. do we know its a "he????" Or did you only just find out???

Well i dont think it will be long til you hear an announcement from me... i got some full on contractions happening for about two hours last night- i was "this" close to waking up DH and then they stopped and i fell asleep, this morning i have had a few- but not as full on as last night. I dont think it will happen today- but i am thinking this week.. its the 18th on friday ( i lost both my angels on the 18th) so i am hoping it doesnt happen on that day coz that will freak me out!!!

Well DS is ready to play so i better be off!! Bye for now!!

SB, the ultrasound tech told me at 13 weeks that it was most likely a boy. We found out today that it was for sure a boy. I told DH that he better be ready to add one more after this because I still want another little girl.
This Week!!!! You still need to cook that bub for a few more days at least. Do you have an appt. this week to check if you are dilated?

Keep us updated on teh spotting. With my first pregnancy I spotted for 9 weeks (subchorionic hematoma) and then it resolved on its own, so things can be good.

Starbright- I keep waiting for your announcement too! Keep us updated.

Dory- How are you doing? Do you have a big bump yet? How did the tooth extraction go?

Hello to anyone I missed!

AFM- trucking along. Hard to believe I am 10 weeks! I really focus on day to day. I have my 12 week scan on the 28th- which seems forever away, but I am kind of excited for it. Doctor is telling me to enjoy my pregnancy if I can, and I am trying.....I am still on the fence on the doppler. I keep going back and forth. I think I am just going to wait it out until I have weekly apts.....if I can maker it another 3 weeks.

I wsent to the dr yesterday just for a normal check up and he has a little portable scanny thingo now so he had a bit of a look and bub was kicking away like you wouldnt believe!
i am starting to relax a little now but i know that i will be a stress head again in 2 weeks... but i am trying very hard for little sweet pea to be calm and confident. I t is all starting to get a bit real now so that is great :D
starting to feel little movements now and i cant wait for the massive kicks!

today we are cleaning out our spare room ( will be baby room soon!!!!) we still have a long way to go but DH is on his last lot of holidays beofre bub is born so we decided it would be a good time to do it!

anyway that is it from me! I have a scan in 3 weeks... hopefully everything is just as good And little bubba lets us see their bits lol

I just wanted to say a quick hello - I have been MIA too. Combination of being busy ( well busy for me), coming down with a cold ( tired) and feeling like this is all just too hard and there is just too long to go ( overhwhelmed and frustrated). Thankfully I am over my "hump", getting over my cold, and looking forward to a rest. I look like kung fu panda today - really really dark rings under my eyes. I never got them until last year.... strange how this journey can change you.

It's been so nice to visit and hear all the good news.

Laney - AWESOME!!! I am soo soo happy for youm your DH, Grayson, your new bundle of joy and your angels. Glad you can feel some movements.

M04 - awesome for you to feel some little movements and to see bubs on u/s squirming about. Don't feel pressure to get your stuff together - this journey is hard enough without putting pressure on yourself uneccessarily. When you get on here is just fine.

Cmegelles - it's amazing how time flies and at the same time stands still! 10 weeks is awesome. It won't be that long and it will be the 28th!

Butterfly - how are you doing? Keeping those fears and anxieties to a manageable level?

Klee - it's been so good to hear from you.... when I finish this post I am going to read your ba....I am excited with anticipation. But knowing the end result is Kristian, makes it just so much better. Hope you are all faring well.

JLK - you've been quiet - all ok?

Beata - I am such a dunce.... serves me right for stalking so many threads because then i forget from time to time which thread people are in. I was asking after you in another thread. I think I need to do myself a list. It seems to be happening more often. Pregnesia? I am glad to hear that things really are going well. A bit up and down, and it would be much easier if Cameron was settled. Hoping its just a cold. Must be awful to have one at his age... take care of yourselves.

Starbright - oh oh I am sooooooooooo excited. I hope not the 18th too, just because as you said, it would be too much.

AFM - well I had the first of 2 steroid injections today to expedite baby's lung development, so that bubs has better prospects, if bubs decides to make an early entrance. It hurt more than I thought and it felt oddly rude exposing my butt/hips/thigh to the Ob instead of my front! LOL, there are always surprises in this journey. Next one tomorrow. I know it's no where near a guarantee, to either get to this gestation or to have the injections, but at least I am doing everything I can to give bubs the best chance, and that is all I can do.

Both of the fur baby's teeth extractions went well. #2 was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, so thankgod I took him in sooner than I'd expected for his teeth. He's is now on twice daily tablets ( now that's a lot of fun, but at least he doesn't scratch or bite) until 3rd July when he has another check up just to make sure the hyperthyroidism ( over active thyroid) is not masking any other diseases, and then no tablets for 2 weeks, and then he goes in for his treatment. He will be gone 3 weeks for his treatment! Argh! But I have been preparing myself for the separation and he'll be in good hands. After the first week DH and I can visit him. If I wasn't pregnant and he was an outdoor cat, he could come home after the first week, but it's just safer to board him for the extra 2 weeks. It's a bit of a race against time, but he will be home again about 7 weeks before bubs is due, so here's hoping all goes to plan. Stay snuggly little chicken!

Still no sign of DD arriving!! I got my csection date- not until 6th of july, i will basically be 39 weeks 3days, they are bloody lucky i have chilled out after having DS.. i was begging them to have him out at 36 weeks, no way would i have accepted a date that late. My specialist from Corryong recommended 38 weeks, but the arragont d ickwad who didnt even look at my file has said they like to do them at 39 weeks and thats when they will do it. I am quietly confident she will make her own plans despite this loser- (which now i am only 10 mins from the hospital i am ok with- JUST) except that i just have to hope that there is a surgery free, a dr on call or already at the hospital, oh i have to fast for 12 hours before i know i am going into labour.. hmmm what else?????

I had some constant period pain last night- my mum is arriving on wednesday so i am keeping my legs crossed til then- its hard- i need to be right onto labour so i can get to the hospital in time, but not too paranoid that i am running there every five minutes!! I just have to trust it will all work out the way it is meant to be.... and if that means i dont get into the cesection in time and she comes out my who haa, as long as she is alive and well then i am ok with that!!!! At the moment i am just not even thinking anything different!!!

hey all, I am going ok, been in hospital on bed rest for the last few days and now I have to rest at home too (yeah right). I am finding though I feel a bit uneasy, for the last 3 days I have been able to hear bubs heartbeat at least 3 times a day & now home to no reassurance

JLk, can you rent a doppler from the hospital for the next couple of weeks? I have one at home and LOVE it. Not long now hun. Gets lots of rest.

SB, congrats on being more relaxed! My c-section with Grayson was at 37 weeks 4 days and it better be the same this time around. There is no way I will be able to make it to 39+ weeks. It is also not a great idea for me to go into labour on my own because I am on Blood thinners. I have to be off of them for 2 days before my c-section. My doctor is also just as impatient as I am :)

AFM, still lots of worry! I am feeling movement now just about everyday so it helps a tiny bit. Some days I feel bub wiggle around a bunch.

JLK - get those troops at home into action with helping you out..... do up a roster from your command post. All hands on deck to help. I know that doesn't ease the anxiety though but what it might do is take away some of the responsibility you feel for maintaining the household. For me, apart from teh anxiety, that is one of the hard parts - feeling like the house is collapsing around me. It's not but it doesn't stop me feeling that way. The funny thing about anxiety is it is self perpetuating, once you start worrying it's really hard to stop and everything seems catastrophic.... not that I took my advice this past week, but try to hold on to some positives. Sending you lots of love and support. You'll get there.....

Laney - OMG - I have been so self absorped lately - look at you 19 weeks! Awesome. Glad you are getting movements - they do help. Do you have a bump?

Starbright - hope you make it too....6 July is not that far away at all. I know what you mean about trying to find a balance between the crazy woman and the labouring woman. That is something that I spend a lot of time contemplating. I try to repeat to myself, it's ok to be anxious and have things checked out. Having said that though I didn't go to the hossy on Sunday night... it was cold and I was tired and all up didn't feel I needed to go out. I was anxious but not enough to get me out of the house.... I suppose that in itself is an answer. I imagine the crazy loady is going to be visiting me a bit more from now on..... hope your pains go away and that you enjoy your Mum visiting.

AFM - feeling a little less anxious than I have been lately. Which is good. It's been a hard week for me actually. Bored, lonely, frustrated, anxious and scared. Oh well, to be expected really. As soon as I was less anxious I felt bubs moving a lot more.

Beata - thanks - I am proud of me too. Didn't really imagine these sorts of numbers could apply to me. Nor that my bump could precede me everywhere I go..... not like little chicken is detachable! DH and I have been accepted into a trial/research program of baby PPP to see if it's of any use. Will be interesting. Will have to check with the Ob to see if I can attend the classes.... Sorry to hear Cam is unsettled.... hopefully it's just a little blip and he'll be back to his hapy content self soon. Amazing to think he's 13 weeks old now. Seems like just yesterday that you still had your bump attached.

I had my morpho scan today. Everything looked great!!!! Bub is measuring big by about a week! I see my high risk doctor tomorrow and get another scan. No more scan for 4 whole weeks and then we start our weekly scans and visits to the doctor! I don't know how I am going to deal with that. I see my doctor in 2 weeks.

blood work came back negative for genetic issues. Placenta problems can cause the blood work to come back positive so I feel a tiny bit better.

blood tests all came back normal and bub is a nice size ....but today at high risk ultrasound the tech told me that there are "some" soft markers. I had to get irate to even get that explanation for the repeated measurements. She was measuring the nuchal fold a bunch...i didn't see the exact size but looked like it was close to 7mm. Waiting for the doctor to call

Oh laney :hug: surely if the BT have all come back good thats a good sign???? Sorry to have to ask- but what does "soft markers" even mean???? I hope you get a reassuring phone call really soon xoxoxoxox

I am still here hanging on- i think this little one has decided she is quite happy to stay where she is... i am thinking i will make it to the 6th afterall!! Then again- for my life to go as planned is a pretty big thing that never happens- so- maybe the day before just to be difficult!!!

Mum is here helping out and she has been an absolute saint!!!! I got a sleep yesterday and i got to go to my dr appt without Shane and i did shopping ALL BY MYSELF!!!! Had a rough night with shane last night though between 3 and 6 he was very upset and crying- i am thinking he is sensing something is going on- last time mum was here for so long we moved- so i am thinking he is associating nanna with change- whcih he is right about this time!!!

Anyway- i just wanted to check in on laney- i am trying not to be a computer snob ,

Starbright - OMG - really not long to go, I mean almost down to being able to count on ONE hand! I am amazed you COULD do all of that by yourself. Go girl. Poor Shane, there is change in the wings and really the only way he'll start to understand it is when it happens. Hopefully Nanna can give him lots of cuddles too?

Hiya to everyone else. It's quiet in here, so that must mean we're all busy doing our own things. AFM I got a new toilet yesterday. A bit unexpected and not really what I thought might happen on the 1st anniversary of Amelia's EDD. Life sure can be strange. Belly rubs.

afm - had my scan, it was so cool :p Bub is measuring exactly to my dates, 8 weeks 1 day. Heartbeat 166bpm, seems to have implanted in the right place and not near my scar, phew! Got some nice pis and a cool 3d one of my womb with 'pip squeak' as bub is know, attached to it's yolk sack, floating around in it's new home. So relieved, next scan at 12 weeks.
