I'm Pregnant again... I'm THRILLED, DH will KILL me...

    Hi all,

I'm Sarah and I am pregnant again. This will be a our 4th child. The thread title was a little dramtic, however DH only wanted 2 children and now we are prg with our 4th. I haven't told him yet, as I only found out today, so I am guessing I am only like 4 - 5 weeks. If the Ovulation Calculator I used was right the baby will be born in April around the 7th.

    My DD 10, DS 3, DS 1 + baby...

I am not really sure what to do, or when to tell him. With my last DS I had 2 MC before him. So I am not 100% sure this one will stick. But I am thrilled to bits. DH will only bring me down from my high is I tell him. His argument will be we only have a 3 brd house. He doesn't like kids having to share a room. But me and my sister did, granted we were all little at the time then parents built a house and had own rooms.

So one give me some advise... I mean it was not I planned this behind his back. We were both will, (and I am on the breast feeding pill, fat lot of good that is) so he can't blame me. Granted he knew I wanted 4 kids, and I have been asking him since we had last DS to go and get snipped. MEN...

For now I wont be telling anyone but you ladies. As you are all in the so boat as me pregnant.

Any help or words of wisdom would be great.

    Cheers
    Sarah

Congratulations hun. I am sure DH will come around if he is less than happy - it's not like he has a choice in the matter, it's happening now so the only thing to do is just make the best of it

Coolabahdee: My baby's are always late at least 5-10 days, so knowning my luck it will be born of last DS brithday 23 April...
Also my luck I would be having triples or twins. I would defently be a dead wife then...

Bon: Am sort of scared of how it will trun our. How will I be able to cope from 3 to 4. 2 - 3 was hard.
Actully I don't care, 'cos I am a farmers wife I did it by myself with the first 3 I can do it again with DD help. she love holding babies...

    Thanks again ladies...

    Sarah

Congrats....our #4 was a suprise too...my DH only wanted 1 - now he has 4. But at the end of the day he knew im super fertile, mini pill doesnt work for me and refused to get the snip...so kinda going to happen that i fall pregnant. Same can be said for you...

We have a 3 bedroom house, 6 people in it...we're doing ok. Although rennos will start soon for a 4th bedroom.

It took me and DH a long time to get used to being pg with #4...we both dealt with it in our own time....it wasnt easy...but we got there - together. Make sure you talk heaps.....

    Congratulations!

I grew up as one of 8 kids in a 4 bedroom house. We survived to tell about it. Actually I loved sharing a room, and my girls also share rooms and love it. Having a room to your self might be appealing sometimes, but having a close sibling to talk and share with is a life long gift, IMO.

Anyways, give your DH a little time to adjust - he'll come around. As Mbear said - keep communicating!

    All the best!

Don't worry Sarah, I'm sure he'll be thrilled when he gets used to the idea. Here's hoping for a sticky baby.

Thank you again to you all,

You are all so positive. And I know I should be, but I know my DH he doesn?t like pregnant people full stop. He hardly touch me when I got to around 5month prg with 2 DS, and when they were born he didn?t have a lot to do with them until they were like 4-6 months when they could see and watch things.

He will just have to get used to the idea I know, but as far as communication goes, he doesn?t he retreats into our little world and doesn?t say anything.

When I told him we were pregnant with other children it wasn?t the reaction I wanted, thrilled like me. No more disappointed would be more the word I would use to describe his reaction. (a comment was ?That?s something isn?t it, now what are we going to do?.) So I have condole myself with it is going to be a long and lone pregnancy in the beginning or maybe all thought but I meet some lovley ladies on here last time and was hoping there were would be another belly buddies due around same time I will join and get some support that way.

But maybe now he will go and get SNIPPED.

    As the others said .
    Congratulations.
I think you need to be honest straight up with him

And really if he DOESNT want a child and DOES want sex - then he should wear a condom or have the snip.

Men need to take responsibility too - frustrating.

But for what it is worth - congrats - what wonderful news to have a little playmate for your 1 year old!

    Congratulations on the little suprise...

we are TTC our 4th ATM, and from what everyone tells me and what I hope is true, going from 3 to 4 is so bad its only going from 2 to 3 that hurts... we coped quite well with our 3rd so can only hope the same will happen when ( and If ) our 4th comes along...

Congratulations and good luck telling DH. Perhaps he'll think twice about putting off getting the snip now.
I hope that it'll all work out and that he will start getting happy and exciting early on.

Hun - it takes two to tango - unless he thought you were on contraceptive & you weren't it is just as much his responsibility as yours if you are not actively trying.

    hope it goes well.

    Wooohooo to you and congratulations.

Like the others have said he wants to play russian roulette then he has to deal with the consequences. He knew it was a possibility that you could get pregnant again so he really cant be that shocked or disappointed about it.

If you are happy and exciteda bout the pregnancy dont let him bring you down and make you feel bad about it. This will send him off to the drs for sure.

Going from 2-3 was a big shock to the family dynamics but 3-4 wasnt that big a deal aside form the needing a bigger vehicle. We are about to go from 4-5 so I will let you know how we cope with that just in case hubby drags his feets on the snip thing again lol

SamiH: Am still on BF pill, however I am not BF full time. Only night time feeds, for about 1 1/2 months now. When I went to Dr. he told me it was still good/in effect. But if I didn't want to get prg to use condoms. I hate them, so I struck a deal with DH to no condom, but avoid ovulation days, which was a 7 day break from sex. So can't understand why am prg but am glad. 'cos I know what it feel's like to lose 2 and I don't wish that on anyone esp when you wanted them so bad then.

All-boys: OH MY LORD... 5 children. Good on you. Not many people these days have even 3 let alone 4 or 5 so more power to you.

We/I wanted to get a new car anyway, but now this it will be a must...

Anyway thanks all for your words, will let you know what happenes as said before I will wait a while probley until I least get over 8 weeks 'cos I normal MC around the 5-7 week mark. Now that it has had time to settle in that I am going to be HUGH again I quite like the idea. And the idea of a new LITTLE BABY to cuddy.

Dam there goes the guide dog puppy owners... That is what we talked about. To be guide dog puppy carer's until they went off to school then we could always have a new puppy at least once every 2 years....
