Hi again,
Thank you for your well wishes.
Unfortunately similar symptoms are felt for both PMS and Pregnancy (which is difficult sometimes). With IVF it is a little emotional, but you just need to know the facts about success rates. Basically I went through a couple weeks of injections and then had follicles removed. About 4 days later I had an embreyo put back in and I had complete bed rest for about 4 days to give it every chance (Zita West Book recommends this).
Where I went, you have to pay upfront for IVF. So it cost $3,508.00 and because I had Private Health Insurance, I didnt have to pay any surgery fees. Medicare gave us $2,000.00 back (due to being over the threshold - make sure you are in this!!!). So the whole proceedure cost about $1,500.00. I was very fortunate in every aspect of IVF (eg having follicles to retrieve, fertilization rate etc etc).
Metformin is a diabetic drug (I have been on this also) is for PCOS people who have high insulin levels (trying to reduce it). I am still currently on this during IVF etc. Some people find it difficult to take (as you can get nausea from it), but it is a gradual process of taking 1 tablet each day for a week, then 2 tables for a week etc etc.
Hope this helps and feel free to ask anymore questions.
Good luck for this cycle
xxx Sue xxx
