Hi read your post and wanted to reassure you as I had bleeding also in this pregnancy. I was also told to go home and wait for the inevitable which was horrible and quite wrong as I can now appreciate...I hope your test comes back positive and have my fingers crossed for you.
Its normal to get a bit panicky as we want these pregnancies so much and sometimes generalising things can be a bit dangerous as a lot of ppl have a wide range of pregnancy stories.

I am one who spotted on the 6 week mark (according to my dates) every time i went to the toilet and wiped for atleast 9 hours (i obversely didnt wipe for 9 whole hours!) i was a emss i was certain i was losing my bub i called my hospital who told me to bed rest and come up if bleeding or pain increased... neither happened. I went to the gp on monday (2 days later) she sent me for an urgent scan wrote me a med cert for work and uni exams to give me a weeks rest, the scan showed a heat beat at 6 weeks and 3 days. I am now 17 weeks and 1 ay and nil further spotting.
I have everything crossed for you today. it is good that they can get the results to you so soon. Oh I am hoping so hard that everything is okay for you. x
Hi all - just an update. I spoke to the Dr this arv and she said that the bloodwork is still showing positive for pregnancy and that my HCG level is 2981. Apparently when I first went and got my bloodwork confirmed for pregnancy it was 322, that was the 7th of August so there is an increase. I asked her if this was normal, she said the "normal" ranges are ridiculous in scope so it's impossible to say, she has seen people 10 weeks pregnant with a level of about 3000. So, she said to wait until Thursday and get the bloods done again and then I am going into see her on Thursday afternoon. She said either way we will organise a scan for the following week. Btw - she is an awesome doctor - really kind and caring and also direc. She said the problem is that we don't know what my levels were a few days ago so actually the 2981 could be a dropped level from a few days ago indicating m/c.
So not negative news but not positive either, I guess just blah wait and see news. However, the bleeding has increased now - just this afternoon actually and it is definately more of a flow rather than only when I wipe. I am preparing myself for bad news on Thursdaybut hoping and praying that this baby sticks as it is really wanted and loved already.
Thank you all for your kind thoughts and words, it means so much to me. I only have DH to talk to about this (and my BF but she is just as sad as I am) and have to put on a brave and happy face for everyone else so it really means a lot to me to have you guys here to chat with and whocan understand whats happening and give me feedback.

Your doc does sound lovely, your lucky to have her. Just try (i know, its impossible!) to relax, stressing wont help and wont change whatever is going on. Looking forward to some positive results tomorrow
