Thanks everyone for your reassuring replies. Good to hear the positive outcomes. I am still spotting, brown and red, with a follow up scan due next week. I am guessing the spotting is normal in this situation? Had my hcg levels tested 4th day apart yesterday as well, should know results today.

Re: Bleed and Subchorionic Haemotoma - 8 weeks

I starting bleeding at 12 weeks, trip to the emergency department in the middle of the night thinking the worse, but couldn't get in for a scan until the next afternoon. The longest 12hrs of my life! Scan showed bub's heart beating away. What a relief!! Then back to emergency department to get results from the scan to be told it was a Subchorionic Haemotoma that caused the bleeding. I freaked out again, thinking the worst. I bled/spotted on and off until around 20 weeks. If I were too active, I'd start spotting again. I tried to stick to light duties only. My baby is now a happy, healthy 9 month old!

I did ask for an extra scan around 16 (?) weeks, as it was my third pregnancy and I was still spotting and hadn't felt any movement yet. All was fine
