Your GP is off base.
Your bloods should be done as closely as possible to your nt u/s. As Clare said many fetal med units will do them the same day or just a day or two before.
I would highly recommend if you are having the nt screening done that you go to a Fetal Medicine Unit. An obs who deals with fetal medicine will do the u/s and give you the results then and there. No waiting. No guessing. You can ask the doctor all the questions you want.
If you choose to go to a an u/s centre than phone that centre and ask them there protocol. What your GP has said sounds very unusual.
