    Dying Hair

    Hi Guys,

Would love some opinions on dying hair during pregnancy esp. first trimester.

I had some highlights done a while ago that now have awful regrowth and would normally be due to be fixed, but I'm a little unsure about how safe it is to dye your hair during pregnancy as I've heard and read conflicting things.

    Anyone got opinions / ideas?

    Thanks

I asked my girlfriend who is a hair dresser and she said its fine. The only reason they may say not to is the colour may turn a different colour than it normally does (blonde may go a little yellow).. but not always.. also she said hairdressers usually wont do it if they know youre pregnant incase you have a reaction to it and then you can sue.. nothing to do with harming the baby at all. Nothing has been proven it will effect bubs in anyway and i died mine all through my pregnancy with DS.

If youre really SUPER worried.. just wait until the 2nd trimester..

I dyed my hair all through my pg. I was told the reason why you shouldnt dye or have perms etc (big uses of chemical) is because of the reaction it can cause due to your hormones.(?) Never did anything to mine.
