Veronica, for my first MW appointment they warned me that DH would have to wait outside for at least a part of it. I'm going through a public hospital and they did a really in-depth kind of interview - including bits about domestic violence, which is why they would have kicked DH out. At my first appointment they took my BP and weighed me, but didn't really do any other tests or anything and they didn't put the doppler (or whatever it's called), but I was only 11 weeks at the time. They also took a urine test and booked me in for bloods and the nuchal fold ultrasound.
