when is the next scan after the 12 week scan. is it another one u have to have at a certain time. i see around 18 to 20 weeks.

As far as i know its around 18 - 20 weeks to check growth, organs, sex!!!
That all i really know about it.
Can't wait for mine!
Still ages away though

Yep - about 19 weeks where they check to make sure all the organs, limbs, brain, circulatory system etc are all doing what they should be doing.

i thought so i just read a few people gettin done at 16weeks and finding ot the sex then but i guess tehy would of had a reason for it.

it could be the same scan - I just thought they waited until basically the half way point because it was at a good developmental step where most "bits" were done? You can definitely find out the sex at the 19 week scan - provided your little one is co-operating. The sonographer who did mine with my DD said he had no doubt whatsoever that she was a girl. Looking forward to my next scan too - will be hoping to see some dangly bits this time!!

Yeah after 12 week scan I only had 20 week scan with DS. They did heart check etc and we found he was a boy and he did a handstand for us
You may also have scans later in preg if baby hasnt turned near to the end. A friend of mine did.
