Thanks to all the people who replied. I'll definately give those herbal/healthy teas a go, it won't hurt.

Hey there,
Like the other girls have said, all in moderation. I use to drink up to 5 coffees a day but with this pregnancy decided to convert to tea. I don't know how much caffine is in it or really care to be honest , i switched because I have 3 sugars in my coffee and only 1 in my tea.
I don't personally like the herbal tea but my drs haven't said anything about having one cuppa a day of tea, its all I really need now and its more habit (first thing in the morning especially when its cold)
Another drink I have is lemon and honey. I cut some lemon into my cup and drizzle some honey to taste then add the water and let it sit for a while. Yummy, just like my nan use to make.
Don't worry too much If you enjoy a cuppa or two its not going to hurt as long as its not excessive amounts everyday

The rdi for caffiene is under 300mg so 3-5 mugs instant coffee (depending on how much coffee you put in), six cups of tea, eight cans of coke or six chocolate bars.
There are some low caffeine teas out there which taste great, but some not so great! But like the others have said, tea has far less caffeine than coffee and coke. I aim for no more than three per day only because thats how many you are allowed on Tony Ferguson's diet, but thats not to say more is evil!! It's just something I try to stick to, doesn't always work though LOL!
Can't live without my tea. I don't smoke, do drugs, drink regularly (only on social occasions LOL) so my drug is my teaReally relaxes me, so I say its theraputic.

I would go with moderation rather than decaffeinated tea (the decaf process uses all sorts of chemicals). Maybe have weker tea if you can't cut down on the number of cups. I found that black tea without milk is easier to drink weak. Mixing it up a bit though might also help so you could have black tea in the morning and then herbal teas or the Rooibos tea in the afternoon etc
Still having tea (2-3 cups per day) and sometimes the odd coffee instead of a tea. I have found starting to drink some herbal birth tea, that my overall tea consumption has dropped.
