So I know date and technically don't need a dating scan, so my option is to pay for one privately ($240 with not much back from Medicare).

I may not have my first antenatal appt til 18 weeks (hospital very busy). Maybe I sound crazy but I'm worried about telling people I'm pregnant without any proof that there is a baby!

What would you do?
