    Stressful dreams

Recently I've started having stressful, angry dreams about the stupidest things. My heart's been racing when I go to bed and I can't find a way to be peaceful.

During the day I'm just peachy, no problems and not emotional or moody. It just seems to come on at night.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is it a symptom of pregnancy, or something else? As far as I know, there's nothing bothering me in my everyday life.

I had the odd dream/nightmare during the first trimester, but now, holy cow, I am up at least 4 times a night in a sweat. Last night I had sex with my DF co worker, he had an affair and then someone was in my house standing next to my bed - all in my dreams of course, but those 3 separate dreams in one night, sheesh. Every night I can have a raunchy dream and some real psychotic one's back to back. I am absolutely exhausted from that and also getting up to pee so much.
It seems pretty normal from what I have read from other pg women.

Yep weird dreams come with pregnancy. I've had a number of pregnancy related ones - all involving having a baby girl but the amnio has confirmed I'm having a boy. I've also had lots of just freaky weird dreams on all sorts of subjects and had a threesome in one - something I'd never do in a million years. Just something you have to get used to I'm afraid.

With my first pg, every night for a long time I dreamt that my DH died in every possible way, I'd always wake up crying uncontrolably and sweaty, I think it all has to do with pg hormones floating around causing havoc.

It seems a lot of pregnancy dreams are related to the baby or the huband, but mine have been about other random things.

Oh well, probably is hormone related. I'm trying not to stress baby out with my moods, but I can't control my dreams.

Ohhhhhh yeah, I can relate. I'm so tired of going to bed now, I so often wake up feeling utterly shattered, and like I haven't had a rest at all.

My dreams are SO epic. They swing between tragedy, majorly erotic, anxious, and just downright weird. Some of them feel like they go on ALL NIGHT, and I feel like I haven't slept at all. Although no-one has provided a "definitive" answer as to why, you can be rest assured that it seems to be "normal" part of the process. Man, I can't wait till they stop.

Oh yeah, i got so many scary/weird dreams when i was in my 1st tri..
I also get extremely weird dreams now, in the 3rd tri.
I was reading in a magazine that my mum gave me about pregnancy, and they were talking about the dreams we have when pregnant. They said its got something to do with resolving fears, worries and issues we have, but some we dont really know we have, some we do know we have. Its a way of 'dealing' with them, even though its only in dream form.

I remember in my first tri i had constant dreams of miscarrying my baby. I was so scared that i was going to loose the bub, i was on edge all the time, especially since the dreams felt so real too.

Now my dreams consist of me having a boy (im having a girl, but i do worry sometimes itll turn out to be a boy) and me having a 8mth old boy ALL alone and i was fine (im hoping my baby isnt a big one). I also have the erotic ones too
