Hi Alan,
Thanks for the advice. I will try and do that, but I have to look after the boys.
Im going to take tomorrow off work and stay in bed once i get them off to school and kindy. I have a dr's appointment at 12.30 as well.
The bleeding has not stopped or eased off, its been 3 days now.
Trish - Im sure we will be fine, just have to take it easy and cross our fingers that our bubs are not effected by it all. I will definatly be wanting another scan in 10 days to make sure its still ok.
Well im still bleeding and im still struggling to understand whats happening. How do i know that the bleeding im having is from SCH? What if its something else that could harm my baby? I went to the Dr today and she just said that I should be optimistic since baby seemed to be doing fine on Saturday and that there are no rules as to when the bleeding should stop, except that in most cases it goes away after the first trimester. So now i have to wait till next Thursday to see if my baby is still ok. Its going to be the longest week ever. I have to go to work on Friday, I hope the bleeding has at least eased off a bit by then.
If you look at my signature you will see my baby is nearly 7 weeks old.
I had a SCH when I was pregnant with him and I bled from 6 weeks-14 weeks pregnant. It was sometimes very heavy and sometimes had clots and it was a very stressful horrible time. I felt on edge the whole time, and like you, I always wondered if the bleeding was still the SCH. I had a doctor that made things worse that told me that I'd lost the baby for sure in the beginning, and diagnosed that without ordering a scan. He was wrong obviously .
I changed doctor's because of this early on and my new doctor was surprised I'd gotten so far without regular scans (I was 9 weeks pregnant) and I nearly cried when he asked how on earth I was coping mentally with not knowing. So I had regular scans and regular blood tests from then on.
The outcomes for SCH are most of the time good ones, just like my baby was. It's more about you getting rest and support and accepting this will be a hard time for you. I can't and wont' tell you to just relax, because that's impossible when you are pregnant and bleeding, but I do urge you to find a health provider that will give you the reassurance of regular scans and blood tests while you are bleeding if you feel that will help.
Big hugs :hugs:, hang in there and take hope in the good outcomes. You have much more of a chance of having a perfectly healthy baby than not. I'm sorry you have to go through this and I really wish you the best.
