    Question too tired!

    Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone else has had wacky tiredness...i find that in the morning i struggle to get up and get ready and struggle to get through the first half of the day...yawning, tired eyes etc etc...I am 5 weeks (according to my DR) and i seem breeze through the evening when i get home...no problems.

If anyone else has experienced this, would love to know any home remedies etc

p.s. it could also just be work...i'm over what i am doing at the moment (?)

Also is it too early to be this tired???

    any feedback would be great

Being tired is all apart of the fun of being in your first trimester, I'm now heading into my 11th week hoping that soon I will feel I have a little more energy.

Your body is working so hard to create this little life, so yes it is normal to feel this tired this early.

I don't have any remedies as such, just make sure you rest

    Thanks Candy Jay

I think its more to do with the fact that i havent had an actual blood test to confirm, i did two tests at home (both came out positive) and have really sore tender breasts that have jumped up in size too...so my DR didnt think i needed a blood test, and as i dont have any other symptoms e.g. morning sickness i just wonder if being tired is all in my head or due to the baby...plus the constant eating!! lol

but thanks for your response...its hard to rest so early on when it hasnt actually registered in my mind..

I understand, don't worry symptoms are different for everyone & every PG is different.

I haven't had any m/s in any of my 5 PG but each has been different with gueeziness coming in earlier or later. You have some positive signs so take it at that at this stage.

I wouldn't worry about a blood test the home tests are oer 99% correct. If anything changes & you get really worried you can go back & ask.

    Best of luck

I was falling asleep by 8pm in the first trimester (yep, from about 4/5 weeks!) if I hadn't had a nap in the afternoon! And even with the nap, staying awake past 9pm was almost impossible! I also started sleeping in, which was (lol! WAS!) unusual for me!

The tiredness is very normal, your body is making a little person from scratch!

I am yet for the tiredness to die down though, it is not as bad as before, and I am making it through the day without a nap, but struggle to get out of bed and also struggle to stay awake past 9.30pm!

Hey first-timer congrats on your pregnancy! And welcome to BB

Being tired is very normal at this stage of your pgcy, its your body's way of telling you to rest, as it is working extremely hard to make your baby! My doc told me that the amount of work your body is doing at the moment is equivalent to a fit person mountain climbing all day!!!

Rest when you can, and remember it doesn't last forever - hopefully by 12wks you'll be feeling great

    All the best darl

I remember in my first pregnancy I was sooo tired of an evening when I got home, I would fall asleep on the couch watching tv - at about 7.30!!!! I missed so many good shows in the first trimester!!! Did get more energy in the second though
And funnily enough, I didn't really get tired in this pregnancy - well so far!!!!
