    thanks girls

I am still waiting for the call, but not as desperate as before. After two sleepless nights, last night I actually had a good sleep although lots of dreams. I am still suffering from nausea. My husband went to work today. I will try my best to handle my emotions and worries.

I hope I could be strong. Not only for me but aslo for my baby. ~~~~~

I have just came back from CVS. The procedure went well and only lasted a few minutes. The nutual folder is still thick. The only thing I can do now is waiting for the fish result. I hope this time luck could be at my side and I will do anything to change for the health of my baby.

i'm glad the CVS procedure went well, (i had five days of really bad cramps after my amnio).

all fingers and toes crossed for you wongbaby, i hope you have stuff to keep you busy, it's maddening, you know thinking about it will make the time drag, but it's SO HARD to think of anything else.

    best of luck sweetie

    Thanks Gigi

I am now madly searching on the Internet hoping for some positive stories. But the more I read, the more scared I am. It seems a very little chance for a high measurement turned out to be normal. I wish I had normal measurement abnormal blood work instead I feel so helpless. ~~~~~

while you're waiting, as someone else said in a previous post "google is not your friend". You're only going to find stuff that will worry you more. Step away from the computer searching wongbaby.

my "therapy" whilst waiting that VERY long two weeks, was to search out baby furniture, concentrating on that, helped me thru. Other people said, you are mad, why buy a cot, when you don't even know if your baby will survive, until after the test? but it's what I had to do, to get thru the two weeks. I HAD to do something positive. (i hope you find something to do, that will help you get thru the wait.).

Hi wongbaby, I am thinking of you and hoping that all goes well. I agree that it is best to stay away from Google. The reason why google scares us is that usually the people who have to post things on the internet have had something significant happen to them ie. the ones where the result hasn't been the way they would have liked. The others tend to get onto the next thing in life. So it totally skews your picture of the actual risk. Try to keep yourself busy so the time passes. thinking of you.

Oh Wongbaby, please stay hopeful. I have had 3 higher than normal NT results and I now have 3 normal girls. I did have to have an amnio each time and stressed out so much and the last time I also had FISH done. If you are going through a public hospital then it won't cost you anything at all. I also had to worry as I was an older mum (38, 40 and 42)

So I have 3 positive stories for you Chin up and hugs

Thanks dear girls for your reply and encouragement!

Just get the call from the dr who performed my cvs this morning. The amount of my sample is not big enough to do both quick test and long test. So I have to wait at least ten days to get the full report! I made my mind to be as strong as enough to handle the coming ten days with my attention diverted to other things. But I am not sure how well it will go.

Just talk with my obstetrician over phone as well. Both him and myself are preparing for the worst result.

At 29 years old, I knew life could be tough. However, it is not until now I come to know it could be so uncontrollable and relentless.

Ten days hey... Ten days. I called this period the TTWW - worse than the standard two week wait, it's the torturous two week wait.

I know how horrible it is. During my
TTWW, I went to an engagement party of my sister's sister in law - so sort of family but not exactly, but they'd all heard my news and were very excited for me... Every time someone came up to me and said congrats, I almost cried. They had no idea.

Wongbaby, hang in there. Please stay away from Google. Ask questions in here if you need to... Maybe we can help.

What a terribly worrying time for you and such a long time to wait for results.

I pray that the CVS will reveal only good results.

I am just wondering with your high Nt measurement, do you have a normal blood work?
