Unless you have complications like bleeding/unsure of dates or fall into the 'at risk' category or certain genetic disorders (which is only necessary if you plan to act on any bad info IYKWIM?), there is no real reason to scan before the morphology scan. In fact there is some research that says an increased number of scans isn't really great for baby.
However many women like to have early scans done so that they can see their baby. Generally they won't scan before 6 weeks as you can't see much, and then there can be one at 12 weeks for the measurement of the nuchal fold.
