Stop stressing. They are probably just trying to cover their bums in case something goes wrong & you try to blame it on their diet. You wont have eaten anything that could've harmed your bub. Dieting is not normally recommended during pregnancy & that's probably why they've told you not to follow their program now.
THANK YOU ladies!!! You have put my mind at ease!!!
Its great food and you dont go without... I also prepared and ate fresh fruit, salad & vegies daily, as well as a good grain/fibre intake.
HUGS - what would I do without this wonderful forum!
Congrats on getting pregnant You've done better than I did in early pregnancy lol I could hardly eat a single thing, so you and your bub should be fine Especially with all that healthy food
I had the same thing happen to me - and what I was told is:
The calorie count is different to what a dieting person / pregnant person needs. So by eating the food required for a dieting person you are not getting enough needed to help support you during your pregnancy.
You would not have done any harm to your baby at all.!! Try not to stress hun.
Bubs will be fine! Congrats on falling pg when it didn't look like it would happen so easliy for you.
You are probaly eating better than me when you were on JC, between the morning sickness and no appetite I am struggling to eat. I have lost 10kgs, I need to lose weight but didn't plan to lose so much while pg. I am just finding it really hard to eat three meals a day. My GP is monitoring me closely and bubs is growing the right amount.
Hi Ladies
Thank you all for your kind words - it really helped
I spoke to my Obs today and he was fine - said that it would not have done any harm
I also got to see the baby for the first time and a HEARTBEAT!!! OMG - what an amazing feeling. I cant wait for my first proper US on the 9th Nov!!!
I also am being referred to another Obs & probably have to deliver at King Edward due to my blood disorder... which also puts my mind at ease.
