We put Claire straight into a cot. We were given a bassinet - it is one that gets passed around the family - but i didnt feel it was safe enough for her. Its old and the matress seemed crappy, so we didnt use it. She is fine in the cot, and she has been since her first night in it. We still have the bassinet floating around the house - never used it or even put it together, but she would still fit in it now, at 3.5 months. Some seem bigger than others.
