It could be related to BP, although mines not. When my BP was 180/126 it didn't happen, but happens when BP is normal. But if you do have any other symptoms always worth having it checked out.
Anila- I have palpitations or ectopic beats all the time too. Drives me mental. It's worse when i'm sick or pregnant, but it feels like my heart is doing somersaults in my chest. Sure gives nurses a fright when they hook me up to a monitor or take my pulse.
It's not linked with bad headaches no, just the beating through my head... and yep, it's annoying when it comes on, but mainly I just wondered why it was there
the palpitations some of you describe do sound annoying... no wonder the nurses get a fright! :-)
Junglemum, its frustrating isnt it! Never had it with the first few babies, was worse last baby, and im getting them again with this baby as well, i dont even have to be doing anything, and my heart feels like it is jumping outta my skin, and i only ever get it during pregnancy.
They sent me for all the usual tests when it first happened, but babies later im so used to it now lol
Possums, def keep an eye on though and mention it at ur next app, jic
just to update this thread...i mentioned this to the dr at my last clinic appointment, they could think of no reason for it and simply told me to go to my GP if i was worried! wasn't too happy to be honest (but thats another story)
My blood pressure is normal, heart rate normal.
Yet still I can hear my heart beating in my head all the time...it pounds away at night making it very hard to sleep/relax. This is an annoying symptom I must admit.
