Pulsatile tinnitus. Most people hear ringing or buzzing, some people hear their pulse. It's good to get everything checked out as you did to rule out other things but since that's all good, this is probably what it is.
Hi everyone, just wanted to update this again...just had another clinic appointment and this time actually saw an Ob ....she was concerned that the pounding head thing is continuing and hadn't heard of it as a symptom before (altho obviously reading here it certainly can be!)...anyway, because my maternal aunt died from a bleed on the brain, she wants to do a CT scan of my head just to rule out anything nasty, that could be only making itself more noticed now with my extra blood flow. I know it's just a precaution and all is probably fine, but it gave me a bit of a scare when she started talking about the possible scenarios if they did find a clot or anything...ie go in for an early c-section delivery and then surgery for me....she just rattled those things off to me, then smiled and said, right now lets listen for a heartbeat shall we? I could hear his heartbeat nice and strong but by then I was a bit distracted!
anyway, hopefully it's just double checking all possibilities and I think all is ok.
If anyone else has had to have a ct scan tho I'd love to hear from you.
thanks :-)
I have low side of normal blood pressure and I get this too. In my temples mostly, but latley in the 2nd tri my heart feels like its thumping out of my chest sometimes when I'm walking extra.
They are putting it down to extra load becuase my BP is not doing anything. Fingers crossed all goes well with your scan and all works out ok<3
