Hi,

I have a friend who is now 16 wks pregnant with her 2nd child and she is a bit concerned about continuing having foils done at the hairdresser. She rang to ask my advice and I said I'd run it by the lovely ladies on BellyBelly (friend unfortunately does not have the internet).

She leads a natural life - doesn't drink, smoke or use drugs (even panadol) and has been told that foils are OK (chemical doesn't touch the scalp), however she is still a bit concerned that there may be something bad about having them done. Doing her hair has become 1 thing that is "her" time since having her 1st child.

I personally have chosen not to have any done during pregnancy as you can still inhale the fumes and why expose yourself to a chemical if you have to. But I am a bit more extreme than others (no caffeine, alcohol, drugs, all organic living, no cleaning chemicals etc). But I've reassured her that it's ultimately her decision and to do what she feels comfortable with.

What do you ladies think?
