My midwife gave me the drink to take home to drink an hour b4 as well. Sooooo much easier. (I am not fat)

It came up fine. Then because I have a thyroid problem (they were worried bubs was too small) I had an ultrasound of bubs on Friday (33 weeks) and he is measuring as a 37 week old!!! They estimate him as almost 6.5 pound already and I still have weeks to go!! And my tummy is measuring normal as well so the doc is a bit confused.

Apparently the 1st glucose test can be up to 15% wrong anyway and I had the 2 hour one today just to make sure coz bubs is so big... :-(

I think it is just routine that they try to get everyone to do. All my friends have done it. I'm kinda glad about having the 2nd test coz if I do have it and bubs just keeps getting bigger, I still have a chance to control it or have other options like CS if I really have to... but also if I do have it and the 1st test didn't pick it up - what a waste of time that 1st test was!
